📢 Calling All Emerging Producers!

Applications are open for emerging producers to jump on board the bus and start their inclusive filmmaking journey. 🎬

Bus Stop Films is looking for a team of emerging producers to come on board for their 2026 class film projects as Inclusive Producer’s Attachments, plus one additional producer role in Perth. The strategy opens up inclusive filmmaking opportunities to next generation producers across Australia. They will work with the in-house Producer Dianna La Grassa and a team of IPA alumni producers to bring to life the slate of 21 inclusively made short films, being produced through their Accessible Filmmaking Program.

The Program is generously supported by Bus Stop Films together with Screenwest, Screen NSW, Screen Queensland, VicScreen, Screen Tasmania, Screen Canberra, Screen Territory and the South Australian Film Corporation.

The First Facts: First Nations Factual Showcase collection debuts on 10 Streaming today! 📺

Featuring five short Western Australian-made documentaries by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander filmmakers, these projects span Country, culture, and generation. In collaboration with Network 10, the initiative is supported by Screen Australia’s First Nations Department with projects receiving funding support from Screenwest.

The five WA documentaries include Aṉangu Way, Burabura, Life After Footy, Ornmol, and Re-imagining Our Futures: birthing.

Birthright hits Australian cinemas today! 🎉🎥

The Western Australian film is a darkly twisted tale about a disillusioned generation and their chase for the success of their baby boomer parents, from WA writer and director Zoe Pepper.

🏡 Filmed on location in the Perth Hills across five weeks in 2024, Birthright made its world premiere at New York's Tribeca Film Festival. It had subsequent screenings at CinefestOZ and Perth Festival's Lotterywest Films.

The thriller comedy was made possible thanks to Screenwest’s highly coveted West Coast Visions initiative which is designed to uncover, inspire and develop talented and motivated WA filmmakers with distinctive visions to produce their debut feature film in WA. 🎬
