Today SBS Australia announced their programs for 2027, and we're proud to share three Screenwest-supported projects in the line-up!

🌊 SALTWATER COWBOYS follows Malgana entrepreneur Michael Wear and his Indigenous startup, Tidal Moon, as they revive Australia’s sea cucumber trade and restore Shark Bay’s/Guthaaguda’s seagrass.

📺 HOMELESS 300, hosted by Samuel Johnson, challenges perceptions of homelessness by putting people and their stories at the centre.

❤️ G.O.A.T is part of the Proper Loved Up initiative - a co-commission between the ABC Indigenous and Screen Australia’s First Nations Department - showcasing First Nations romantic comedy short films.

🎥 Tom de Souza’s documentary feature, The Long Road Home, has been announced as the inaugural recipient of the West Coast Visions Documentary initiative.

The Long Road Home follows Tom's personal story as he embarks on a multi-year journey around Indonesia, reflecting on an early life of addiction and teenage crime, and hoping transformation might be found somewhere on the road.

West Coast Visions Documentary is supported by the WA Government and Lotterywest, and builds on the success of West Coast Visions - our scripted feature film program that's supported 14 WA-made feature films since 2005.

WA-made Stan. Original Series Invisible Boys is set to make its US premiere, streaming on Hulu as part of a major Banijay Rights deal.

Based on Western Australian writer Holden Sheppard’s best-selling novel, the powerful coming of age drama explores the challenges faced by a group of gay teens growing up in the remote coastal town of Geraldton, Western Australia.

📺 Invisible Boys is available to stream on Stan.

Stan Original series 'Invisible Boys' is heading to the US, following news that the local show has been sold to Hulu.
