and today we're celebrating them! 🎉

A massive thank you to Teklus and BWIZE (and the people behind it Shu N Mayu) who made a donation directed straight to keeping our volunteers happy 🙌

Your support means our volunteers can get out into the community and do what they do best: mapping venues so that people with disability can access public spaces with confidence 🤩

We couldn't have hosted such impactful and engaging events without you all. You make this community what it is, and we are so grateful 💚

If disappointment is consistent enough, it becomes an expectation.

Many people with disabilities are not confident visiting new places. It’s not a personal limitation, it’s a design failure. When accessibility is an afterthought, people learn to expect the worst – and they’re often right. The guesswork, the phone calls ahead, the backup plans. It adds up.

Knowing a place is truly accessible before you arrive shouldn’t be a luxury, it should be the standard 💜

The Euan’s Guide Access Survey is the UK’s largest and longest-running survey on disability access. Results in the 2024 survey revealed that 78% of respondents are not confident about visiting new places when thinking about accessibility.
