Celebrating the HTAV 2026 Annual Conference | Day 2

We're still reflecting on the many memorable moments from the conference. Here are a few highlights from the second day - Friday 7 August. You may spot yourself or a colleague 😊 .

What makes our conference so special is the incredible community of History educators who come together to learn, share, connect, and be inspired.

Here are just a few of the comments delegates shared when asked about the best part of the conference:

💬 "It was a fantastic reset and change of environment. I was energised by the break from the classroom and having the opportunity to network, converse, share ideas, and participate in practical activities with colleagues from many different teaching contexts."

💬 "We felt so welcomed and the whole atmosphere was friendly and fun. We really enjoyed the HTAV staff and the enthusiasm of all the teacher delegates. It had a great vibe across both days. The food, service and assistance from the Novotel Preston staff were outstanding. We were so well catered for. Thank you!"

💬 "Great sessions from other teachers! The wealth of knowledge in our community is fantastic and always inspiring."

Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, shared their expertise, and contributed to making the conference such a positive and energising experience. The passion, generosity, and collegiality of Victoria's History teaching community continue to inspire us.

Go On Take a Look….. So much professional learning choice!

One of the most common statements shared with us by teachers about the Annual Conference program is: ‘It is so hard to choose which workshops to attend because they are all so good’.

This is testament to the outstanding presenters who offer their expertise to help build this high-level professional learning program in support of History education.

Join us on an informative and insightful History journey and share in the unique spirit when the History teaching community comes together in person.

We are delighted to launch the full 2026 Annual Conference program booklet showcasing a rich selection of workshops, keynote speakers, sponsors/exhibitors and networking opportunities.
