Thank you everyone for joining us for our film screening, Cặn Cảnh, last Saturday. It was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak with four of the filmmakers, Lêna Bùi, Đặng Thảo Nguyên, cát nguyên, and Nguyễn Trung Nghĩa, and hear more about the stories behind their films and their working processes.
There’s something really special about coming together in person, sitting quietly alongside one another as we watch the films, bursting into laughter at unexpected moments, and then seeing all the food disappear by the end of the afternoon.
A big thank you to Cinema Con Nhà Nghèo for this wonderful collaboration and for curating such a thoughtful and meaningful selection of films. We’re so grateful to have shared this afternoon with you all.
And a very special thank you to Kyle Canavan, who worked so hard to transform the space and make it feel completely different for the screening even though it was only a one-day event.
