📣RALLY AT PARLIAMENT!!📣
⌛ It's been 5 years since Labor released Victoria's Bus Plan, and we have seen nothing but piecemeal reform since then!
💸 While the fuel crisis is increasing financial stress for everyone, families in the west are still missing out on the ESSENTIAL SERVICE that is fast, frequent and connected public transport, leaving them forced to depend on the car.
😵 Even though we are home to some of the fastest growing communities in the country, the government continues to neglect the west.
🫂 Public transport is a basic right, and everybody in our community deserves access to it.
🚌 If we had better buses, and an integrated transport network with electrified, frequent trains, it would mean more time for families to spend together.
💧We've shown the government that better buses is a drop in the ocean compared to what they'll spend on other major infrastructure projects, and the benefits to the community would be life changing.
👀 With an election around the corner, Labor needs to step up now and transform our bus network because the west can't wait any more.
📣 We demand better buses. We demand better trains. We demand transport justice for the West!
