One year on from our very first Power Forward installation, and the results speak for themselves.

Before Power Forward, Mansfield FNC was facing annual electricity costs of around $9,000... Fast forward 12 months, and that figure has dropped to just $1,745.

That's an incredible 80% reduction in electricity costs, saving the club $7,000 a year!

That's money that can go back into keeping the community hub running, as it did over the 2026 Summer Fires when it was used as an emergency facility.

We've been working with clubs all around Australia on Power Forward projects - And with a new round of Game On opening in 2027, we're looking to help more clubs Power Forward - Get in touch to make your club next!

Recently, Carlton Football Club announced a three-year partnership with Specialized Solar and Electrical, naming them their official sustainability partner.

The partnership includes the installation of a 223kW solar system at IKON Park and a move away from gas hot water.

The upgrades are expected to cut hundreds of tonnes of emissions each year, lower operating costs and help the club move closer to 100% renewable energy.

This is a meaningful commitment to a more sustainable future for the club, and it’s another great example of what’s possible when football clubs invest in cleaner, cheaper and more resilient energy.

With the AFL team in their second final this Friday and an undefeated AFLW team running hot, Carlton are winning on the field - It's great to see them winning off it too.

In 2022, we went to the Fitzroy FC, the Local Club where Dylan Buckley and Nell Morris-Dalton played their junior footy.

They described the impact the club had on their pathways as footballers and, in turn, as people, and heard what it meant to them that their club was making positive strides when it came to protecting the climate.

Footy for Climate is heading back to Victorian Parliament - for the third year running!

We're bringing together dozens of MPs from across the political spectrum, the AFL, clubs and AFL/AFLW stars for this bipartisan event.

This time last year we announced Power Forward - our program installing solar and batteries at community footy clubs. We said we'd start with Mansfield Footy and Netball Club. We did.

With support from the AFL and AFL Players Association, Mansfield now runs on a 30kW solar system and 40kWh battery storage.

Last year: $9,000 in energy bills. This year: $900.

We've since delivered Power Forward projects at Myrtleford and Portarlington, with dozens more in the pipeline.

Thanks to every MP who backs renewable energy for local clubs and support for grassroots footy.

Let's Power Forward and protect the future of footy.

Connecting like minded people creates magic!

The Portarlington Football & Netball Club has joined forces with Footy for Climate and Resinc Solar and Batteries to install a full system of panels and batteries - saving the club roughly $12k a year!

It's helping the club to reduce their bills, emissions and helps them to do their bit for the climate.

So great to connect everyone and create lasting change in our community.
