OM Australia

OM Australia Spreading the gospel to the least-reached places around the world — until all have heard. We cross boundaries and push limits.

We want to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached. At the heart of OM Australia is a group of people completely sold out for Jesus. For us, missions is more than an adventure or an experience; it’s a lifestyle that reflects what a vibrant community of Jesus followers can become. We don’t fit a mould, we don’t sit still and we love the adventure of following Jesus. Our p

rayer is that you and many others will dream with us and join this journey as we pray, give and go together.

There's still time to help provide care, dignity and hope for refugees.

Through OM teams and trusted partners, displaced people across the world are receiving urgent and vital practical help.

Just as importantly, they are experiencing the compassion and dignity that come from being seen, valued and cared for. Through these practical expressions of God's love, many are finding renewed hope and a glimpse of a brighter future.

But the need is still great, and there is still time for you to stand with us as we respond -> om.org.au/eofy-appeal

After an explosion in Ukraine took both of Svetlana's legs, she found herself alone in hospital, facing a future she never imagined.

Then a local church supported by OM stepped in.

They brought food, medicine, clothing and friendship.

Most importantly, they kept showing up.

"Why are you doing so much for me?" she asked.

The answer was simple: to share God's love in a practical way with someone who needed help.

Across Ukraine, Poland, Sudan and the Middle East, OM teams and trusted partners are providing practical care and relief for people displaced by conflict.

Your tax-deductible gift this EOFY will help us continue this vital work. Please give before Juen 30 -> om.org.au/eofy-appeal

Today is World Refugee Day, a day to honour people who have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict, violence or persecution.

Behind every refugee statistic is a person. A mother protecting her children. A father searching for work. A child trying to make sense of a world turned upside down.

On this day, we honour refugees around the world as people made in God’s image, each with their own story and dignity.

We also recognise the importance of practical care for those seeking safety and stability after displacement.

This EOFY, your gift can help support OM as we provide practical care and relief for people displaced by conflict across the Middle East, Sudan, Ukraine and Poland.

For more than a decade, many Syrian refugees have lived far from home, carrying the weight of conflict, loss and uncertainty.

In one Middle Eastern city, an OM partner runs a weekly clinic that has become more than a place for medical care. It is a place where refugee families can receive practical support, follow-up care and trauma-aware help.

A regular boys’ group has also grown out of these relationships, giving boys from refugee families a safe place to be heard and supported.

One boy shared: “I was so angry and broke things, and I’ve learnt to think more and have more control over myself.”

Through medical support, trauma-aware care and safe places for children, people are being supported as they rebuild life after displacement.

This EOFY, your gift can help provide care, dignity and hope for people displaced by conflict across the Middle East, Sudan, Ukraine and Poland.

Selma* was preparing to welcome her newborn daughter while living in a refugee camp in Poland, far from home.

During her pregnancy, OM teams visited the camp each week, bringing baby supplies, nappies and other practical support.

After her daughter was born, Selma’s circumstances became even harder. Her husband was deported back to their home country, leaving Selma to care for four children on her own.

But she was not left to face it alone.

Week after week, OM teams kept visiting the camp. For Selma and her children, those regular visits brought stability, relief and a reminder that they had not been forgotten.

Across Poland, Sudan, Ukraine and the Middle East, families displaced by conflict are facing overwhelming challenges.

Your tax-deductible gift this EOFY can help provide practical care, dignity and hope for people affected and displaced by conflict.

Help us reach our $250,000 goal before 30 June: om.org.au/eofy-appeal

As conflict continues in the Middle East, we invite you to stand with us in prayer for God’s mercy and peace across the region.

Please pray:

For hostilities to come to a swift, peaceful conclusion without wider regional escalation.

For the protection of civilians on all sides.

For comfort for those who mourn.

For leaders to act with wisdom and find paths to peace.

For opportunities for Jesus-followers in the region to be a source of blessing, encouragement, and peace in their communities.

In times like these, we’re reminded of the lasting hope and peace that is found in Jesus. May His Name and presence be known in homes, churches and communities across the region.

Four years on from the start of the war in Ukraine, the need remains. So does hope.

Petro* fled his home in Ukraine at 17 and became a refugee in Poland.

“I cut myself off from the pain because if I allow myself to feel, I might break.”

In Poland, Petro became involved in OM-supported activities and began volunteering at OpSAFE camps, helping children affected by trauma. His role began to change from being the one who needed help to being the one helping others.

Research shows that about one in three refugees suffers from PTSD, depression or severe anxiety. While many practical needs have been met, the deeper wounds often remain unseen.

Through OM’s Psalm Counselling Centre in Warsaw, Ukrainians are receiving professional counselling and emotional support in their own heart language.

Please continue praying:
• For those carrying trauma and grief
• For families still separated by war
• For OM’s Psalm Counselling Centre as it supports those affected by trauma
• For peace and lasting hope

Lives, homes and communities have been deeply affected by severe flooding across Asia.

Severe monsoon flooding has brought widespread devastation across Sri Lanka, Thailand and several neighbouring countries including Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam. Lives have been lost, homes destroyed and communities displaced with little warning.

OM teams in Sri Lanka and Thailand are partnering with local churches to care for vulnerable families and assess the most urgent needs.

We invite you to join us in praying for all who have been affected across the region:

• Ongoing rescue efforts to be successful and that those who still need help will receive it.
• Comfort for families who have lost loved ones.
• Help for those who have been displaced.
• Peace for communities facing uncertainty.
• Strength and wisdom for churches and volunteers responding on the ground.

To make a tax-deductible gift towards OM’s relief response in this region, visit the link below.

Your support will be directed where it is most needed across the affected areas.
