bagMUSTER has expanded into Tasmania.

Collection sites are starting to open across the state, with further sites opening in the coming weeks. Tasmanian growers can check the bagMUSTER website for current collection locations and participating retailers.

Spearheaded by CropLife Australia and the Australian Seed Federation, and operated by Agsafe, bagMUSTER provides an industry-led pathway for the recovery and recycling of eligible agricultural plastic bags.

This marks the program’s first new state expansion and an important step in improving access to responsible farm plastic disposal options for Tasmania’s agricultural sector.

On Anzac Day, we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice and enduring spirit of all who have served, and those who continue to serve today.

We reflect with gratitude on their commitment, and the freedoms their service has helped protect.

Lest we forget.

Earth Day is a reminder of the role we all play in protecting the environment and supporting more sustainable practices across Australian agriculture.

Reducing waste, recycling materials and safely managing AgVet chemicals all contribute to better environmental outcomes — both on-farm and across the wider industry.

Small, practical actions can make a meaningful difference over time.

Take a moment today to consider what steps you can take to reduce waste and manage chemicals responsibly.

The Agsafe Industry Standards Pilot is now underway, marking an important step in strengthening how AgVet chemicals are managed across the industry.

The Standards have been developed to provide greater clarity around regulatory obligations, promote consistent compliance practices, strengthen workplace safety outcomes, and support businesses managing complex chemical requirements.

Strong stewardship works best when responsibilities are clear and supported by robust systems. Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing insights from the pilot as we work with industry to strengthen safe chemical management.
