International Missing Children's Day takes place on 25 May each year.

Thousands of children are reported missing to police each year in Australia. Most are found safe within 24 hours. Some are not.

International Missing Children's Day raises awareness of missing children globally. In Australia, it's a time for us to reflect on missing children and their affected families.
ACT Region Crime Stoppers encourages the community to be vigilant and speak up. If you have any information about a missing child or suspicious activity, report it anonymously at 1800 333 000 or online at crimestoppersact.com.au.

No clue is too small. No action is insignificant. Every tip brings hope.

Let's work together to bring missing children home. Share this message and help make a difference.

National Volunteer Week is here and 2026 is Your Year to Volunteer!

This week, we celebrate the Canberrans who step forward to strengthen our community through generosity, compassion and action. Whether they give an hour, a skill, or a helping hand, volunteers are the heartbeat of a safer, more connected ACT.

At ACT Region Crime Stoppers, we see every day how powerful community involvement can be. When people choose to look out for one another, share what they know, or support local safety initiatives, they help create a Canberra where everyone feels protected and valued.

Volunteering isn’t just about formal roles — it’s also about everyday choices that make a difference. Reporting suspicious behaviour, staying informed, and encouraging others to speak up all contribute to a safer community.

If you have information that could help prevent or solve crime, you can report anonymously at 1800 333 000 or online at crimestoppersact.com.au.

To all the volunteers who give their time and heart to our city — thank you. And to anyone wondering if this is the year to get involved… it is!

It’s Your Year to Volunteer.

Every day, lives are lost on our roads. National Road Safety Week reminds us that every choice behind the wheel matters – whether you’re a driver, passenger, cyclist, or pedestrian.

Pledge to drive so others survive:
- Drive as though your loved ones are on the road ahead
- Remove ALL distractions and never use a mobile phone while driving
- Don’t speed, drive while tired or under the influence of alcohol/drugs
- Protect all vulnerable road users by slowing down!

ACT Region Crime Stoppers encourages everyone to act. If you witness reckless driving, dangerous behaviour, or need to report a concern, share what you know anonymously at 1800 333 000 or online at crimestoppersact.com.au.

Safer roads start with all of us. Make a commitment today!

Did you know, until they are 10 years old, children must always hold the hand of an adult when crossing the road? Let’s encourage all children to Stop, Look, Listen, and Think before crossing.

Today is National Walk Safely to School Day. This annual, nationwide initiative encourages primary school children and families to walk, scooter, or cycle to school to promote healthier habits, road safety, reduced traffic congestion, and a cleaner environment.

Crime Stoppers ACT reminds everyone to stay alert, report unsafe behaviour, and help keep our streets safe. If you see anything suspicious, report it anonymously at 1800 333 000 or online at crimestoppersact.com.au.

Let’s make every walk a safe one. Spread the message and act today!
