The Rotary Club of Brisbane Airport is a young, friendly club serving the local community and wider charitable causes.

The Rotary Club of Brisbane Airport meets every Tuesday morning at 6.45am for 7.00am for breakfast at the Transit Tavern, Skygate. As a vibrant aviation themed club, we service the airport and wider community.

A day of tree planting to kick off the Great Koala Highway Plantation - a corridor to join up the many Koala Habitats in Eastern Queensland - supported by We Grow, Queensland Trust for Nature, Koala Crusaders and Landcare

We had the pleasure of hosting Angelique as our guest speaker this morning. Find your voice with their Choir and you will also find fellowship and friendship within this Unique Community. A donation of $500 was also made towards their efforts in supporting “Second Chance”. They are passionate about supporting the prevention of domestic violence and those affected by it.

Our guest speaker this week was David, the principal of Aviation High School at Hendra. We support an Interact Club at the school and have two students from the school attend our meetings each week during school term. David outlined the pathways offered at the school and shared results of a survey which showed why the students chose the school.

Suki from Nexus Care was our guest speaker last week. Come to our meetings at Transit Tavern on Tuesday mornings at 7am to listen to inspiring speakers like Suki.

Nexus Care provides food security to those going through hardship. One of their programs is the Fresh Start packages which include 4kg of fresh fruit and vegetables which is sourced from Ozharvest, supermarkets, Food Bank and donations. This program has delivered 2.5 million meals and 613 tonnes of food since 2011.

Suki was overcome with emotion when presented with a cheque for $1,000 towards their efforts. They are currently running their End of Financial Year Campaign - so jump on board and support them.
