Ever walked out of a meeting and thought, “Why didn’t I say that?”

You had the idea. You knew the answer. You had something valuable to contribute, but you hesitated, and the conversation moved on.

For many women, it’s not about having more to contribute. It’s about feeling confident enough to make sure that contribution is seen and heard.

Our WiT partner Core Confidence is bringing this conversation to AMPLIFY 2026, a free Career Accelerator designed for professional women ready to strengthen their visibility, self-advocacy and professional presence.

The event will explore some of the things that can hold us back — from perfectionism and fear of judgement to old beliefs around how we should show up — alongside practical strategies to help women communicate their value and advocate for themselves with greater confidence.

Because being visible isn’t about being the loudest person in the room.

It’s about making sure your voice, ideas and expertise are part of the conversation.
We’re proud to share this opportunity with the WiT community.

What an incredible morning spent sharing and learning from some truly inspiring journeys.

At our recent Women in Technology Powerful Conversations panel with Powerlink Queensland, one message stood out, resilience looks different for everyone.

Everyone brings their own story.
Their own challenges.
Their own way of navigating change.

But resilience isn’t built in isolation.

It’s built in the moments you back yourself, and in the people around you who support, challenge and help you keep moving forward.

Because while resilience starts within, it grows through connection.

Expressions of Interest are now open! 📣

WiT is developing a new Women of Colour & Diverse Cultures: Career Development Program, a one-day experience designed to support women from culturally diverse and multilingual backgrounds working across STEM and related fields.

The program will create a dedicated space to build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, grow professional influence and connect with women who share similar lived experiences.

And we want our community to help shape it.

By submitting an Expression of Interest, your insights will help inform the content, speakers and resources to ensure the program reflects the real experiences, aspirations and priorities of women in our community.

One conversation can change the course of your career.

Not because you'll walk away with a new job (although you might).

But because you'll meet someone who shares your challenges. Someone who introduces you to a new opportunity. Someone who becomes a mentor, collaborator or lifelong professional connection.

That's the power of community.

Whether you're just starting out, returning to work, growing into leadership, or simply looking to expand your network, ConnectWorks is designed to make networking feel welcoming, inclusive and worthwhile.

Join us for an evening of meaningful conversations, new perspectives and genuine connections with women and allies across Queensland's technology and STEM community.

✨ Relaxed networking
✨ Industry conversations
✨ Career insights
✨ New connections that could shape what's next

Real change happens when people choose to be part of the solution.

Creating a more equitable technology sector isn't the responsibility of women alone. It takes leaders, allies and advocates who are willing to listen, learn and take action.

As a member of the WiTMAAN Committee, Mike Roddy is passionate about creating genuine pathways that help women thrive in technology. His commitment reflects what WiTMAAN is all about bringing men together to champion gender equity, challenge barriers and help create workplaces where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Thank you, Mike, for your leadership and for helping build a stronger, more inclusive future for our industry.

Change starts with a conversation, but it grows through action. If you're ready to be part of that change, we'd love to have you involved.
