It’s Community Club Awareness Week, and we’re celebrating the contribution community clubs make across Queensland.

Community clubs represent more than 5.6 million memberships, employ more than 34,000 Queenslanders and support a volunteer community of 42,000 people.

Clubs also return more than $549 million in community contributions, supporting local communities through cash contributions, non-cash benefits, community assets, valued services and volunteers.

Clubs are social hubs and central points for their communities, providing opportunities for people to meet, build friendships, volunteer, take part in activities and enjoy face-to-face social interaction.
