Greyhound Adoption Fee - $200. All GAP greyhounds are vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and desexed. GAP greyhounds come complete with their "Green collar" which signifies a greyhound that has passed through all temperament testing. This special collar also allows them to walk without a muzzle in public. You will also receive a lead, and winter jacket with your adopted greyhound. When

you adopt a greyhound from GAP SA you are getting a dog that has a known history and background. Plus a support system from people who know and love greyhounds. When contemplating adding a new pet to your family, consider adopting a retired racing greyhound. Please be responsible when adopting and please remember: Pets are for life.

We’re proud to announce that Greyhounds As Pets SA is joining the 2026 Hope Cup as a Supporting Partner! 💚

This annual community cricket fundraiser brings together the Riverside All-Stars and Gawler Police to support The Salvation Army’s work with people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness across Gawler and surrounding areas.

After recently connecting with so many locals at the Gawler Show, we’re looking forward to returning and supporting an event that makes a meaningful difference within the community.

Our Angle Park Greyhound Adoption Centre is now open six days a week, giving you more opportunities to meet the greyhounds and discover who could be the right fit for your home.

Walk-ins are welcome, so drop by and see where your adoption or fostering journey could begin.

What a wonderful day at the Gawler Show! 💚🐾

Thank you to everyone who stopped by on Saturday to meet our greyhounds and enjoyed a chat and pat.

The biggest highlight was seeing Maze meet his new family at the Show and he was picked up and welcomed home the very next day! 🏡

Max (3rd image) also loved meeting so many friendly faces and is still searching for his forever home. If Max captured your heart, you can learn more about him and apply to adopt through our website.

We’re calling on volunteers who can attend with their greyhounds during the show dates. If you and your hound would love to help us meet visitors and share what makes greyhounds such wonderful companions, we’d love to hear from you.
