Today we celebrated Community Centres Week with a shared lunch at the centre. 💛

It was fantastic to see around 120 people come together to enjoy a delicious baked spud with lots of tasty toppings! 🥔

Most importantly, it was wonderful to see people connecting, chatting, laughing, and spending time together. Food has a special way of bringing people together and helping everyone feel welcome, connected, and a sense of belonging in our community.

Days like this remind us how special community centres are and how important they are in bringing people together.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make today possible. Our amazing volunteers, community partners, and everyone who lent a hand throughout the day. Special thanks to STTARS for making the delicious Ghormeh topping, like bolognaise full of amazing flavour.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success! 💛

Tonight at our Welcoming Community Dinner, we gathered over a shared meal to celebrate connection, inclusion and community. 💛

We were privileged to hear from Edwin from SARAA, who shared a beautiful message about the strong synergies between our Welcoming Community Dinners and IDAHOBIT Day, that everyone has the right to feel welcome, safe and valued for who they are. 🌈

This also tied in perfectly with Community Centres Week and this year’s theme, ‘Your Place to Connect’. Our community centres are places where people come together, build friendships, share stories and create a sense of belonging. 💖

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another wonderful evening of connection and conversation around the table.
