Grant Kelley’s story is a powerful reminder of what specialist expertise and advanced robotic technology can achieve.

The St Andrew’s Hospital Foundation is incredibly proud to support our robotics program, alongside clinical scholarships that invest in the skills and expertise of our outstanding clinical teams.

St Andrews Hospital cares for more than 60% of prostate cancer patients treated in South Australia - across public & private.

Please consider making a pledge for prostate cancer care and helping us continue to make a difference.

This is what impact looks like.

A shoulder that caused years of pain, now pain-free.

A man who can open the fridge, comb his hair and put on his own shoes again. And a life returning to normal. Quickly. With joy.

This is what the generosity of our donors makes possible. World-class technology, exceptional care and, ultimately, a better quality of life for patients.

This is impact. đź’™

A Sunday morning of gratitude 💙🤍

There will be many posts to come celebrating the magic of the St Andrews Hospital 90th Gala Dinner. But this quiet Sunday morning, we want to pause and simply say thank you.

Thank you to the wonderful events team at Nourish Experiences, who cared for every detail and supported us so generously in bringing the evening to life.

Thank you to the wineries, businesses and organisations who donated their beautiful goods, experiences and support to help us raise funds for our hospital and the people in our care.

Thank you to our friends who shared their stories on video, opening their hearts and sharing their hope with everyone in the room. Your words reminded us all why we do what we do.

Thank you to our hospital teams who came together to celebrate with such joy, warmth and sincerity - and who looked absolutely beautiful on the night. What a privilege it was to see our St Andrew’s community come together.

And finally, a HUGE thank you to our incredible volunteers who gave so much of themselves to make the evening a success.

Rachael, Fion, Robyn, Jen and Wendy — there are not enough words to express our gratitude for your kindness, teamwork, generosity and support. You gave your all, and we are so very grateful to have had you beside us. 💙

A night like this is never the work of one person or one team. It is made possible by a community of people who care deeply about St Andrew’s and the difference we can make together.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our 90th anniversary celebration.

With gratitude,
Foundation team

🍷 90 bottles. 90 years. An incredible show of generosity! 💙

We’ve been inundated with amazing wines for our W**e Wall experience at the St Andrews Hospital 90th Gala Dinner.

From South Australian wineries to our generous surgeons and Hospital colleagues, the support has been wonderful.

Together, they’ve contributed a fantastic selection showcasing some of South Australia’s best wines.

A special shout-out to our wonderful volunteer Wendy, who has patiently and lovingly wrapped every bottle, adding an extra special touch to this initiative. Thank you, Wendy! đź’™

We’re looking forward to plenty of fun on the night, all while raising vital funds for prostate cancer care at St Andrew’s.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated a bottle and helped make our 90th anniversary celebration so special! 🥂

Every year, our St Andrews Hospital Breast Care Nurses share their vision with us for the Breast Care Luncheon. And then this little team makes it happen. đź’—

This year, it was four Foundation staff and four incredible volunteers, all with boundless energy because they understand just how important this event is to the women we care for.

This photo was taken well after the event.

By then, there had been weeks of work behind the scenes - confirming the guest list, sending invitations, creating the collateral, setting up the online booking system, coordinating sponsors and event partners, confirming our Marketplace, speaker and fashion show, managing seating plans and dietary requirements, organising door prizes and goody bags, writing run sheets, coordinating volunteers, sorting invoices and suppliers, and making sure all the little details were in place.

And then there were the last-minute jobs.

Running around the night before trying to find somewhere [anywhere!!] that could print an A1 or A2 board the same day. Seriously…how can that be so difficult? Printing and hand-cutting more than 100 paper flowers. Packing. Unpacking. Moving things. Moving them again.

And through it all, they still smile.

Because they know that all those little jobs add up to something much bigger - a beautiful and important day for women who have been through breast cancer, and a chance for them to come together, feel supported and feel celebrated.

This is the St Andrew’s Hospital Foundation team.

On Thursday we’ll be welcoming our breast cancer patients and their guests to the annual St Andrew’s Hospital Breast Care Luncheon.

A really important part of the day is connecting our patients with organisations and small businesses that can offer information, practical advice and support during and beyond their treatment.

Each year, our Breast Care Nurses personally invite a selection of support services they know provide excellent care and support to our patients.

We’re delighted to have the following organisations joining us this year:

Adelaide Breast Care
Chemo Crowns
Dragons Abreast Adelaide
Enza Romeo, Surgical Fitter
Flourish Therapy Adelaide
Lymphoedema Association Australia
Quintessential Care
Olive & Bee
Pink Lotus Australia
St Andrew’s Wellbeing
Cancer Council SA
The Zonta Club of Adelaide

A special thank you to our dedicated team of Breast Care Nurses, whose knowledge of their St Andrews Hospital patients and their needs helps shape this event each year.

Thank you to all the organisations giving their time to join us. We’re looking forward to bringing everyone together for a lovely day of connection, information and support. 💗
