Scenes from Munich Oktoberfest time, Hofbräu style! Valued club member, Brenton Quirini of Empire Liquor, is the importer of Hofbräu b**r into Australia. After 6 hours in the HB b**r garden the day before, here he shows his guests how to survive 4 hours in the Hofbräu Festzelt on opening day. Key performance indicators include (pp):
🍺 2-3 x 1L steins (Maß) Hofbräu b**r
🍗 1/2 chicken (a Wiesnhendl, or halbes Hendl / Brathendl)
🥨 2 x dinner plate-sized pretzels (Brezeln)
🍏 1 x serve apple strudel with vanilla sauce
🕺🏻 Cringey dance moves + must know lyrics to “Sweet Caroline” (not really, but it helps to work off the food! 😆)
🔁 Repeat all steps above for another 4 hours (8h total)…
