This particular defibrillator holds a special place in our hearts, as it was one of two defibrillators funded through the incredible efforts of Karl and the team who organised and installed the St George's Day Flags throughout the local community.

🇬🇧 What started as a fantastic community initiative has now created a lasting legacy, helping to provide life-saving equipment that could one day help save the life of a friend, neighbour, family member or visitor to Royton.

Currently the defibrillator is available inside the café, with plans for it to become externally accessible in the future, helping ensure even greater access for the local community.

👏 Fantastic news from Nationwide UK!👏

From from last Friday, Nationwide is rolling out public access defibrillators and bleed control kits to all 605 of its branches across the UK!

This initiative, delivered in partnership with Visa and in collaboration with St John Ambulance, will help make life-saving equipment more accessible on our high streets and within local communities.

At Defibrillators Save Lives, we know that every minute counts in an emergency. Having more publicly accessible defibrillators available can make a real difference to someone suffering a cardiac arrest, while bleed control kits can provide vital equipment during a serious traumatic injury before emergency services arrive.

We're delighted to see a major national organisation investing in community safety and helping to improve access to this life-saving equipment.

🦆 Slaithwaite Duck Race, Saturday 1pm, we’ll be there! 🦆

Defibrillators Save Lives will be at Spa Park with Sports Physio UK - Slaithwaite, this Saturday, supporting the Slaithwaite Duck Race.

We’ll be doing CPR demonstrations, chatting about public defibrillators, and raising funds to help maintain existing community defibrillators and provide more lifesaving equipment where it is needed.

Come and say hello, have a go at CPR, and support a brilliant community event.
