Remember to join us, Pennine Care NHS Talking Therapies, Citizens Advice and a wide range of partner organisations at our informative wellbeing event tomorrow at George Street Chapel (next door to Occasions Florists on George Street.

We are across the road from Spindles car park, disabled parking is available on George Street and there is parking on Silver Street. We're also very close to the bus station and tram line so we're easy to get to.

Every year, an army of woolly warriors take up their knitting needles and crochet hooks as part of the innocent Big Knit in partnership with Age UK.

Every hat knitted raises 30p to help us provide much-needed services and support to older people.

If you’d like to help raise us some much needed funds, all hats can be dropped off at any of our Age UK Oldham shops or Chadderton Over Sixties Centre.

💙 Could you help an older person reconnect with their community?

Age UK Oldham is looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our Enabling Connections team and support older people experiencing loneliness and isolation.

As a volunteer, you could:
☕ Meet for a coffee
🏡 Visit someone at home
👥 Help someone connect with a local group
🌱 Build confidence after illness or bereavement
💬 Encourage someone to get involved in their community

No experience needed! We provide full training, ongoing support and an enhanced DBS check.

If you can spare a few hours each week and would love to make a real difference to someone’s life, we’d love to hear from you. ❤️
