Accessible Dancercise is THE BEST! 🕺Our service users have smashed it out the park this afternoon with a 45 minute Dancercise session. We shook maraccas and tambourines, sang and shouted and had the best time!!! Mencap

The last night of our Durham Holiday called for a party night, and this night was also in celebration of our amazing Karl's birthday🎉
We created a fabulous dance floor where we showed off our best moves 🪩
Everyone took turns taking some photos with the birthday man himself📸
This was the perfect way to spend our final night of the Holiday: plenty of laughs, celebrations and dancing🤣
We even hosted a MEGA quiz, bingo and more, with some extra-special Harry Potter wands up for grabs🪄

As part of our Durham Holiday, we took an exciting trip to the Durham Cathedral⛪
This Cathedral is full of thousands of years of history; we spent hours exploring all the interesting features😁
Our very own Tom led the tour and explained the history and significance of different items/images💬
We had some Harry Potter mega fans in our group; this was a perfect opportunity to do a themed photoshoot, as the Cathedral was one of the filming locations for the franchise📸
Overall, we all enjoyed taking in the beautiful architecture of the Cathedral and learning all about it's past🫶

Can you believe it's been a week since we set off on our amazing Durham Holiday😲
Although we are sad it's over, we have enjoyed looking back at some of the photos we captured on this fabulous trip😆
To kick-start the Holiday posts, here are some snapshots of the fun we got up to at Beamish📸
We spent the full day at Beamish, exploring the villages, shops, chippies and more 🫶
It was so interesting to see what life was like back in the day; everyone loved it and made some brilliant memories🪾
There was definitely some sleeping to be done on the coach back; all those steps certainly add up😴
