Today we are in Beitbridge where we are building stronger communities through a capacity‑building training for key community stakeholders, norms setters, and peer educators.
Officially opened by the District Development Coordinator, Mrs. Mafu, the session underscored the vital role of young people in shaping national development: “Young people are the future of tomorrow, and whatever you’re learning should improve the development of our districts.”
This training unites ward councilors, religious leaders, health workers, community leaders, and youth peer educators to deepen their understanding of SRHR, challenge harmful social norms, and strengthen youth‑friendly service provision.
The training is aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to become champions of change, promoting positive norms, supporting adolescent access to health services, and driving inclusive development across Beitbridge District.
When communities are informed, stigma is dismantled.
When leaders are equipped, young people thrive.
Together, we are shaping a future where every adolescent can access health services freely, safely, and without fear.
