Port Vila, Vanuatu - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the VPride Fashion Show will not be held this year. As one of the most anticipated events in Vanuatu's cultural calendar, VPride Fashion Show has been a powerhouse of creativity, inclusion, and economic empowerment over the years, bringing together diverse local designers to showcase their artistry to national and international audiences.

Since its inception, the VPride Fashion Show has been instrumental in supporting social inclusion and aligning with Vanuatu's National Sustainable Development Goal (NSDP) principle of 'leaving no one behind.' The show has not only symbolized unique creativity but also provided an avenue for meaningful economic contributions through tourism and various business activities, enhancing both local and international engagement with Vanuatu's vibrant culture.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event will not take place this year. We recognize that this announcement may come as a disappointment to our supporters and participants who have made this event a cornerstone of innovation and growth within our community. Despite this setback, the impact of VPride over the past four years has been remarkable; it has helped promote local designers into broader markets across regional and global platforms.

To our supporters who have profoundly recognized and contributed to the welfare of our designers: we express our heartfelt gratitude. Your steadfast support has enhanced their lives and bolstered their ability to explore larger markets confidently. Vanuatu fashion continues to thrive and evolve, reflecting its unique heritage through art inspired by renowned figures such as Pilioko and Michoutouchkine.

Going forward, VPride remains committed to supporting initiatives like Mama's Handicraft Association as part of our long-standing mission to empower creative expression using Vanuatu's native prints. We remain hopeful for future opportunities where we can once again showcase Vanuatu’s rich fashion heritage on a global stage.

We thank you all for your understanding and continued support.

With all our Love and Hugs,On behalf of VPride Fashion Show and VPride Community
