In a cardiac arrest, every second counts.

Someone experiencing cardiac arrest has the best chance of survival when bystander CPR is started immediately and an AED is used as early as possible.

Our crews carry dedicated defibrillator-monitors, which come in different shapes and sizes. But in those vital minutes before we arrive, you can make a difference.

👉 Send someone to get the nearest AED.
👉 Follow the AED’s instructions and keep going until help arrives.

An automated external defibrillator, or AED, such as the HeartStart, is quick and easy to use and can make the difference between life and death.

ProMedical Ambulance is responding to more than twice as many emergency calls as it did two years ago, with the surge in demand reflected in a more than doubling of the number of patients attended despite little change in its vehicles and staffing.

Everyone at ProMedical has the crew and passengers of the MV Matui, and their friends and family awaiting news, in our hearts and prayers tonight as rescue efforts continue.

Our Santo ambulances have been busy working with Northern Provincial Hospital to assess and transport survivors as they are brought ashore by the incredible volunteers who heeded the call for help and have been searching tirelessly for survivors. It is a privilege to work alongside the helpers and all those who step up in the face of tragedy.

FREE Community Health Checks with Promedical!

In the last year ProMedical has completed free health checks for over 250 people, checking things like blood pressure, blood sugar level, heart rate, and oxygen saturation. One in three people had worryingly high blood pressure or blood sugar readings, and over half told us that cost and distance had prevented them from seeking medical care.

ProMedical will care for you in an emergency if you become very unwell – but through projects like health checks we hope to help prevent you from being unwell at all.
