UUMFE's Acting Director, Rev. Lauren Levwood, and our team of UUMFE Movement Chaplains, are working alongside UUMFE Movement Chaplain Intern Chelsea to co-facilitate a weekly drop-in Climate Grief Support Group on Fridays from 1-2pm ET/10-11am PT over Zoom.

If you are concerned about the state of our world, worry about how current events are intersecting with climate disturbance, are a parent or grandparent concerned about the coming generations, or a young adult with anxiety about the future of our living world, this Climate Grief Support Group will provide a space for you to process your experiences with others in a ritualized, trauma-informed, and mindful way. We recommend you bring a stone or similar grounding object for our time together.

On March 24, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear Noem vs. Al Otro Lado—a case that could shape the future of asylum.

The UUA has joined an amicus brief, organized by the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice, alongside faith partners supporting a just and humane asylum system.

For UUs, this work is grounded in our faith—our commitment to the inherent worthiness of every person.

“Over the past decade, Unitarian Universalists have worked tirelessly to support the rights of immigrant families and communities… We are pleased to be part of this coalition,” said UUA Executive Vice President Carey McDonald.

On March 24th, UUs will also join a Kairos Center–organized faith vigil outside the Supreme Court to declare: no turning back on the right to asylum.
