ADOPTED
Beatrice Age 6
Beautiful Beatrice the Basset Hound seeking human housemate. While Bea won’t contribute to the rent of pay for her share of groceries, her sass, confidence and withering, judge-y Basset side-eye scowls could be pure Social Media Gold!!! Known in her foster home as Queen Bea, she is a curious and clever girl who loves to communicate with a wide range of vocal stylings. Did we mention Social Media Gold? At six-years young she is confident and has a BIG personality. She was a one-and-only in her previous home, but gets along well enough with her foster brothers and sisters. She is keen on walks and fetching , and actually returning the ball— which is pretty much unheard of in the world of Basset Hounds. Serious in nature, Bea won’t tolerate fools, in unlikely to move off the sofa/bed, but she is willing to work with the right person/people who can help her further identify as human. Healthy, Spay, UTD on vaccinations, and scored 100% on her cognitive test.
Nervous that she might be too much hound for you? Don’t worry, Queen Bea is more than happy to TALK you through it.

Meet Elmer at The Kitsap Humane Society

This adorable boy was brought to the shelter as a stray with a large wound on his chest. They were able to do surgery to clean and treat wound, now it is healing. Through this they have learned he is a gentle soul with a mellow, sweet personality. Elmer loves to be with people and is friendly with dogs with proper introductions. As for cats this is unknown.
He is now available for a forever home.

Archie was a poster boy for many years I always posted him at Halloween in his Viking Outfit. He will be missed by all who loved him. Hugs to his family and his brother Reggie.

Today, our hearts are broken. We had to say goodbye to our sweet precious Archie this morning . For almost 13 years, he was our best friend, our constant companion, and the soul of our home. He’s finally free to run and find his favorite spots. We will love you and miss you forever, sweet boy. I will love and miss you always and will be there for Reggie. Thank you to everyone who loved him on here and followed him since he was a baby 🐾 🌈

Do you have any idea how much it costs a rescue for medical care of the animals we care for? I'm sur you know the cost of Vet care has skyrocketed as has everything else. Vets used to give rescues a discount but that is now in the past.
Neutering a Male Dog: Roughly $360–$496 on average.Spaying a Female Dog: Average costs are around $455–$600.
Cherry eye surgery $1000 to $1200
The two dogs we just go in need to be spayed and one has Cherry Eye. This is why our fund raising is so important to us.
Please take a chance on our current fundraiser and you might just win a wall hanging. Just put kisses in comment
