Happy Earth Day!! 🌎 Thank you all so much for your creative contributions to our fence panel mural! We can’t wait to see them in place together. 🤩 On that note, we’re also excited to really let the community be involved in the installation process on April 25, so what does that look like?

1) Bringing your board? Start at the hook station. OR
2) Grab a board that already has hooks installed from the line along the parking lot fence
3) Queue up with your board outside of the fence for placement
4) Our team will help guide where your piece goes, and crew members will install and secure the board!

Note: We can’t guarantee self-installation, but we’ll make sure your art finds a home!

Don’t forget, if you haven’t already painted a panel, you can do one that day, which will dry and be installed by our crew at a later date.

We are so grateful for everyone’s contributions to this art installation for the community, by the community, and we hope it will bring joy and warmth to many as they pass by it daily through the heart of our town. A truly bee-utiful thing! 🐝

We are quickly approaching the “Bee-utiful Woodinville” community art project installation and Earth Day resource fair! With so much excitement and hundreds of panels painted, let’s take a moment to spotlight a participating group: Say hello to ! ♥️

“We are Indian traditional visual art school called Deepti Designs School of Art and are located in your neighboring towns of Bothell and Redmond. We have been in operation for over 10 years now and have a strength of around 170 students comprising of mostly youth and a small percentage of adults. Some of our students have been part of the Woodinville Art Alliance in the past and have also won some awards at your shows. We are significantly into using art as an instrument to support the community and into putting together public art programming open to all – it includes hosting free art events at libraries, senior and community centers, and installing community collaborative murals in public locations.”

🌎🦋Join us Saturday, April 25th, Earth Day weekend, from 1-4 PM at the old Molbak’s parking lot (13625 NE 175th St, Woodinville) to install the painted panels. Enjoy a festive resource fair with live music, activities for the whole family, face painting, food trucks, booths (learn about local pollinators) and more! You can even paint a panel during the event.

Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details. Next we will share information on how the installation process will work. We can’t wait to see you there! 🐝

🐝 Attention fence panel painters! 🐝
We have seen an overwhelming response from the community on the “Bee-utiful Woodinville” community art project. 400 panels have been picked up to be painted for our April 25th Earth Day celebration and resource fair at the old Molbak’s parking lot, where these beautiful panels will be installed along NE 175th. This is going to add so much color and joy to our outdoor spaces as we celebrate the local pollinators. Tap through the slides to see reminders on next steps.

Inspired by the “BEE-utiful Woodinville” project celebrating our new Bee City designation, we will be honoring our new Creative District status with a sculptural banner made in true pollinator-friendly fashion.

Aside from the thread stitching the parts together, this piece will be crafted entirely from repurposed vinyl banners donated by Woodinville residents and local businesses that would otherwise be headed for the landfill. We have the materials and the vision and now we need you to help us bring it to life.

We are looking for local artists to help us finalize the design and piece the components together.

This sustainable banner will be installed along the fence on NE 175th Street on Saturday, April 25th during our Earth Day and Pollinator Resource Fair. We hope this pop of colorful, creative landscape will be an inspiration to those walking through Woodinville as they connect with nature. If you are interested in collaborating on this community art project, please reach out to Torrey at [email protected].

We can’t wait to see what you create!
The “Bee-utiful Woodinville” mural project is in full swing. If you haven’t picked up your primed fence panel yet, there is still time to join this community-wide tribute to our local pollinators.

Whether you are painting a single honeybee or a sprawling wildflower meadow across a stack of panels, your contribution will help transform NE 175th Street into a vibrant celebration of our city’s Bee City status.

A Quick Reminder on the Timeline:

Pick Up: Grab your panels at Crown Bees (17721 132nd Ave NE) between 1 PM and 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Available now through March 27.

Create: Use acrylics, latex, or permanent markers. Focus on pollinators and their habitats—images only, please.

Drop Off: Return your finished masterpiece to Crown Bees by April 3 so it can be clear-coated for the installation.

Save the Date: April 25

We will gather on Saturday, April 25 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the former Molbak’s parking lot to hang the mural together and enjoy a festive resource fair for Earth Day weekend.

Let’s show our pollinators some love and make this fence a true community masterpiece.
