We know some of our members will be there! Are you going?
Come out and enjoy all that Vintage Torque Festival has to offer. This event is about coming together and celebrating the vintage lifestyle. It's about seeing old friends, and making new ones. It's about experiencing some new sights and sounds. We hope to see you at Noon on Friday May 1 We will be going for at least 13 hours.... And then start it all over again at 9am on Saturday morning May 2. It's going to be a good time. We want you to bring your positive vibes. We have often said that our event is not for everyone. To that point, we do have some rules that need to be followed.
No Golf Carts. We have had incidents in the past. Mobility scooters are welcome. There is handicap parking on Old Hwy Rd.
No Pets. If you have a service animal, please make sure they are wearing service animal identification vest.
NO POLITICS - Leave your political flags, postcards, tents, etc at home. This location is a place where we leave that behind. It has nothing to do with helping kids with heart defects. Feel free to wear whatever hat you want - bumper sticker etc. But if you have a political agenda at our show - Stay Home.
No Carry-Ins. This policy has been in place since we moved to Dubuque in 2013. Nothing new here, but some people still think they should be allowed to walk around with coolers of booze. The fairgrounds has very affordable food and beverages on site. Please support the fairgrounds - without them.....No Event.
No Whining. Please don't complain about where you are parked or any other things that may not go your way. (Example- complaining about not getting into the swap meet early or no trailers allowed on site) This is our event, and people have to play by our rules. We don't have many rules....but they are all there for a reason. Again - if your "happiness" is dependent on where you park, leave your ride at home.
No trailers in spectator parking - this show is about DRIVING your vehicle. We have had to accommodate a lot of big RV parking in that lot and it has taken more room than expected. We have moved trailers in the past, and we have had trailers blocked in by spectators until sunday morning in the past.
SATURDAY MORNING PARKING: If you are wanting to park together as a group, you need to arrive together - we do NOT hold spots for anyone. There were MANY people upset last year by this rule. It can easily be alleviated by simply arriving together. OR - park your car on Friday and leave it there overnight. We do have overnight security. Do NOT expect to get your same spot on Sat. if you leave Friday night. Last year we parked 400 cars in about 25 minutes. The volunteers did an amazing job. They do NOT need drama from drivers demanding to park in specific spots. If this is a problem - just leave your car outside OR - volunteer. Volunteers get in early!
This is not a debate. If you have issues with these rules - contact the fairgrounds or email [email protected]
