🇺🇸 CELEBRATING 250 YEARS OF FREEDOM! 🇺🇸

The SSGT Henry F. Gumm American Legion Post 486 in Jackson, Wisconsin, would like to extend a massive THANK YOU to all the residents who participated in our Celebrate 250 decorating competition! It was truly incredible to see our community come together and decorate their homes for this historic 250th Independence Day Celebration. 🎆

Our community showed incredible patriotic spirit, and we are proud to recognize the following winners for their excellence in patriotic decorating:

🏆 1st Place: The Purgett Family (Main St.) 🥈 2nd Place: The Krueger Family (Glen Brooke Dr.) 🏅 Honorable Mention: Forest View Manor Assisted Living (Eagle Dr.)

Light Up Jackson: The "Celebrate 250" Patriotic Decorating Contest! 🇺🇸
The SSGT Henry F. Gumm Post 486 American Legion is challenging the residents of the Village and Town of Jackson to help us become the most patriotic community in Wisconsin!

Think "Christmas in July"—but with a patriotic soul. We want to see the same fervor usually reserved for the winter holidays channelled into celebrating the United States’ 250th Birthday. Break out the flags, bunting, lights, and creative displays to show everyone how much Jackson loves this country!

🏆 The Prizes
● Grand Prize: $300 Cash
● Second Place: $200 Cash
● Third Place: $100 Cash
📋 The Rules & Details
● Eligibility: Homes must be located within the Town of Jackson or the Village of Jackson.
● Public Display: Participants must agree to have their address shared publicly so neighbors can drive by and enjoy the displays. An official participation sign will be placed in your yard, and photos may be shared in the media.
● Keep it United: No politics. The American Legion remains strictly non-partisan; political campaign signs, symbols, or representations will not be tolerated.
● Show Your Pride Long-Term: While judging wraps up in July, we strongly encourage everyone to keep their displays active through Labor Day to keep the celebration going!
● Decisions of the judges are final.
