🐶 Yesterday, 9 dogs arrived at WCHS as part of a Greater Good Charities Good Flight from Alabama and Louisiana! All will be ready for adoption TODAY! Our viewing and adoption hours are 1-8pm, so swing by and say hi!

Scout spent 16 wonderful years with his family, filling their home with his quiet, gentle presence. In his memory, they created the Scout Memorial Senior Cat Fund to help WCHS provide diagnostic, medical, and emergency care to senior cats, who are among the most vulnerable pets that come into our shelter.

Throughout September and October, every gift to the fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Scout's family, up to $10,000. That means your generosity can go twice as far in helping senior cats receive the care, comfort, and second chance they deserve. 💙

🐶 DOGS - If a dog weighs more than 50lbs, and has been here for more than 30 days, you pay the whatever the weight is! (Example: Biscuit is 61lbs = $61+tax)
🐈‍⬛ CATS - Halloween in August - 50% off adoption fees for black or mostly black cats!
🐰 SMALL ANIMALS - Get a free starter pack with your adoption, which could include hay, pellets, and other helpful pet supplies!!

If you scan the Cats page on our website, you'll see TONS of cats are available for adoption, and many are part of the Clear the Shelters August promotion! Currently, 58 fantastic felines are ready to head home and 21 of those cats are 50% off! Plan a visit to meet some of them😻

As you might have guessed, we're flying through litter due to this late-summer cat boom! Donations of Fleet Farm branded unscented, non-clumping litter are incredibly helpful. If you'd prefer we do the shopping, consider supporting us with a gift card to Fleet Farm instead!
