Blue Lotus Center Sixty-four acres designed for those with challenges experiencing safe, accessible access to nature.

As a nonprofit, we provide accessible outdoor recreational and therapeutic opportunities in a caring, accepting, and inspiring 64-acre day camp setting. Accessible features include lift for the inground pool, accessible restrooms, and wide hiking trails and boardwalk.

We love a good party and we LOVE our volunteers!

Last night, we celebrated more than 30 of our wonderful volunteers with delicious food, a memorable slideshow highlighting their efforts throughout the year, and thank-you gifts for everyone.

One of the evening’s biggest moments revealed their collective impact: more than 4,000 volunteer hours this year, representing approximately $145,000 in donated time and the year isn’t over yet!

We also celebrated with Suzanne and Jim Barker, who each contributed and reached more than 500 volunteer hours! Their names were added to our Volunteer Pillar Awards plaque, which hangs in the pavilion as a lasting tribute to their dedication.

As our Associate Director, Lisa Starke, says, “We truly cherish each and every one of you.” Your time, talent, and treasure help make Blue Lotus a place of joy, connection, and belonging.

A huge thank you to Westbury Bank, for sponsoring Into The Wild Day. NAMI Washington County, Inc., the The Youth and Family Project, Inc., and the Blue Lotus Center collaborated in making the event a success, and it was so much fun!

Teens and their caregivers enjoyed the opportunity to unplug from their phones and connect with themselves, one another, and nature.

It was a beautiful day of reflection, connection, and purpose. Thank you for helping make these meaningful moments possible!

We’re so close—and you can help us reach the finish line!
Thanks to your generosity, our 2026 Fall Match Fundraiser raised $193,914 toward our $200,000 goal. That leaves just $6,086 to go!
Your support helps sustain our Neurodiversity Apprenticeship Program and enhance programming throughout the year, creating more opportunities for learning, joy, connection, and belonging in nature.
We’re accepting donations through this Friday, October 2, that will count toward our Fall Match total.
