We had the pleasure last night of presenting Bro. Michael Foster his 50 year Masonic award! It’s quite the stretch to put into our great fraternity and is amazing to see. Lots of great stories were shared after our meeting (and some during). Thank you to everyone who came out!

Our Monthly Fish Fry has really been gaining steam, and we’ve welcomed so many new faces coming out to enjoy a great meal with us. We can’t thank everyone enough for the continued support and positive feedback. Because of that encouragement, we’re excited to continue our Fish Fry throughout the summer!

Once again, we’ll be offering a FREE dessert to anyone who brings in 3 non-perishable food items to donate to our local food pantry. Your generosity helps us give back to the community while sharing a great evening together.

And by popular demand — the cannolis are coming back! They were such a big hit last time that we knew we had to bring them back for another round. If everyone keeps enjoying them as much as they have been, we’d love to keep offering them at future Fish Fries as well.

We look forward to seeing everyone again for another great night of food, fellowship, and community support!

Wow what an amazing evening !

Ozaukee Freemasons Lodge #17 and their spouses/significant others gathered tonight for a meaningful evening at the Rose-Harms American Legion Post in Grafton, where they had the rare honor of listening to a 101-year-old veteran (Mr Robert Charles - ARMY) share his experiences from World War II.

The room fell quiet as the veteran spoke, his voice carrying both the weight of history and the clarity of lived experience. He recounted moments of hardship, camaraderie, and resilience from a time that shaped the course of the world. For many in attendance, it was more than just a history lesson—it was a deeply personal connection to a generation that gave so much in service to their country.

The Freemasons, known for their commitment to brotherhood, charity, and community, found the evening especially meaningful. Sharing the experience with their spouses/significant others added to the sense of unity and reflection, reinforcing the values of respect, gratitude, and remembrance.

As the evening concluded, those present expressed a profound appreciation for the opportunity to hear firsthand stories that textbooks can never fully capture. It was a reminder of the importance of honoring our veterans—not just in words, but by listening, learning, and carrying their legacy forward.

Ozaukee Freemasons Support Local Law Enforcement with Life-Saving Equipment Donation

In a powerful display of community partnership and commitment to public safety, the Ozaukee Freemasons Lodge #17, located in Port Washington, Wisconsin, recently made a meaningful contribution to local law enforcement agencies. The Lodge donated fire suppression tools to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office and speed detection equipment to the Port Washington Police Department.

What makes this donation especially meaningful is how it came to life. The funds used to purchase the equipment were raised through a community-driven initiative—a golf outing organized by the Lodge that was conducted at The Bog in Saukville, Wisconsin. What began as a simple idea quickly grew into a successful event, bringing together members, local supporters, and businesses for a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and charitable purpose. The outing not only strengthened community ties but also directly contributed to enhancing public safety across Ozaukee County.

The donation reflects the longstanding mission of Freemasonry: to support and strengthen the communities they serve. By equipping deputies with fire suppression tools (FSTs), the Lodge is helping ensure that first responders have the resources necessary to act quickly in emergency situations—particularly in the critical moments before fire departments arrive on scene. In talking with the Undersheriff Marshall Hermann, he informed us that with this donation, all of their patrol cars as well as their tactical vehicle will now be equipped with an FST.

Fire suppression tools are compact, highly effective devices designed to quickly extinguish small fires. These tools can be deployed within seconds, making them invaluable for law enforcement officers who are often the first to arrive at incidents involving vehicle fires, small structure fires, or other hazardous situations. Early intervention with these tools can help save lives, reduce property damage, and prevent fires from escalating.

In addition, the donation of speed detection equipment to the Port Washington Police Department enhances officers’ ability to enforce traffic laws and promote safer roadways. Speeding remains one of the leading contributors to traffic accidents, and having reliable, modern detection tools allows officers to better monitor and address dangerous driving behaviors—ultimately helping to protect motorists, pedestrians, and families throughout the community.

Representatives of the Ozaukee Freemasons emphasized that this effort is about more than equipment—it’s about supporting the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting others. “This is what we do as Masons,” WM Brian Hollenbeck shared. “We believe in giving back, in standing beside those who serve, and in helping make our communities safer for everyone.”

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office welcomed the donation as a valuable addition to their capabilities, noting that having fire suppression tools readily available allows deputies to respond more effectively to emergencies throughout the county.

Likewise, the Port Washington Police Department expressed appreciation for the Lodge’s generosity. The newly donated speed detection equipment will play an important role in traffic enforcement efforts, helping officers reduce speeding and improve overall road safety within the city.

The Ozaukee Masonic Lodge continues to demonstrate that strong communities are built through service, cooperation, and a shared commitment to the greater good. Through this donation—made possible by the success of their golf outing—they have not only provided essential tools, but also reinforced the bond between civic organizations and local law enforcement.

As Freemasonry teaches, it is through acts of charity and brotherhood that lasting impact is made—and this initiative stands as a shining example of those principles in action.

Grand Lodge of Wisconsin Donates AED to Ozaukee Freemasons Lodge, Strengthening Community Safety

In a meaningful step toward enhancing community safety and preparedness, the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin has donated an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the Ozaukee Freemasons Lodge. This generous contribution underscores the Grand Lodge’s continued commitment to supporting local lodges and ensuring they are equipped to respond in times of emergency.

An AED is a life-saving device designed to deliver an electric shock to a person experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. When used quickly, it can significantly increase the chances of survival by restoring a normal heart rhythm before emergency medical personnel arrive. By placing this equipment within the Lodge, members and visitors alike gain an added layer of protection during meetings, events, and community gatherings.

The donation reflects the core values of Freemasonry—charity, care for others, and dedication to the well-being of the community. Grand Master Br Jeff Schoenfeldt, Grand Lodge of Wisconsin emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure Masonic lodges across the state are prepared to handle medical emergencies and serve as safe havens within their communities.

Members of the Ozaukee Freemasons Lodge expressed deep appreciation for the gift, noting that the AED provides peace of mind and reinforces their ability to look after one another and their guests. With many lodges serving as gathering places for members of all ages, having immediate access to emergency medical equipment is both practical and essential.

Beyond its immediate benefit, the presence of an AED also encourages awareness and training. Lodge members are exploring opportunities to participate in CPR and AED certification courses, ensuring they are confident and ready should the need ever arise.

This act of generosity highlights the strong bond between the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin and its constituent lodges. It also serves as a reminder that Freemasonry is not only about tradition and fellowship, but also about taking meaningful action to protect and uplift others.

Through this donation, the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin has once again demonstrated that its mission extends far beyond the Lodge room—reaching into the heart of the community with compassion, foresight, and a dedication to saving lives.
