West Bend Kettle Kampers (WBKK)

West Bend Kettle Kampers (WBKK) This page is for sharing chapter events, camping experiences and interests within the network of Wisconsin Camper's Association.

The West Bend Kettle Kampers are family oriented with 40 plus families in the chapter, ranging from tots to grandparents. Members camp in all types of units from tents to motor-homes and select campgrounds within a 100-mile radius of West Bend. The Kettle Kampers do not camp as a group on holidays. The Kettle Kampers usually schedule two campouts each month from May though October, in addition to

the two Campventions in June and August. Members are free to attend the campouts of their choice. Members volunteer to host campouts. It is up to the host family whether they choose to schedule activities and games. Members enjoy playing cards, swimming, shopping, riding bikes, golfing or just relaxing. Potluck on Saturday is the norm unless the host family plans otherwise.

We want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day. Most importantly we want to thank all the men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom and our opportunity to enjoy this great country! Also prayers and thanks to the families of the fallen!

Very proud of our kids who had taken time out of their Kids Christmas in July campout to make cards for the assisted living residents. Unfortunately not all the kids were able to hand them out. The ones that were not able to make it still had an integral part of putting a smile on the residents faces! After handing the cards out they sung jingle bells to the residents.

Had a great start to the camping season. Good turn out for the first club trip. Terri did a great job setting it up. Started with an impromptu taco/margarita bar, then lots of swimming, cards, relaxing, fire, and a soup pot luck.
