It is with heavy hearts that we share the news regarding the unexpected passing of former Port Washington High School and PWSC soccer player, Nate Gruber.
Nate was a soccer legend during his days in Port Washington, where he played goalie for the PW high school team, as well as club soccer with PWSC for all of his years growing up. He kept his love and passion for the game going into his adult years, where he was currently a youth soccer coach for his daughter’s team with the Bavarian Soccer Club.
Most importantly though, Nate was a son, husband, father, and friend to so many, and his impact in life extended far beyond the soccer fields. He had an incredibly upbeat and outgoing personality and he will be remembered most for the positive influence he had on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Nate’s family, friends, coworkers, current players, and former teammates during this difficult time. Nate will be deeply missed and forever remembered!
