Great news about our water project in Haiti!
HANWASH has been awarded the Rotary Foundation's Program of Scale grant for 2026. This $2M grant will allow the first 3 pilot communes in Haiti (that includes our project in Ferrier!) to expand and accelerate this program. This is a locally led, collaborative, systematic effort that is leading to sustainable, revenue-positive water systems.

Wenatchee Rotary Club’s foresight, together with the efforts of our District and the support of the Rotary Club of Cap Haitien, Rotary International and HANWASH, has strengthened a partnership dedicated to bringing clean drinking water to villages in Haiti and advancing these important humanitarian efforts through collaboration and shared commitment.

The Programs of Scale grants only began last year, so this is a huge validation of the program overall!

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (May 18, 2026) — As conflict, recurring natural disasters, climate change, and geographic disparities continue to disrupt access to clean water and sanitation services across Haiti, millions of people remain highly vulnerable to waterborne and hygiene-related illnesses.

We toured our Eco partner Winton MFG Compost Works today with the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce. From food or yard waste to compost in about a month!
