We were so honored today by Clear Creek Community Church coming to serve through Hope Initiative 2026! They sent out multiple teams to serve by painting an office and bathroom, cleaning the toy rooms and refreshing the Clear Lake office, and serving two of our foster families in their homes!

Thank you Clear Creek for your hearts to continually serve and care for The Sanctuary!

Last Saturday morning was filled with bags of icing, plenty of sprinkles, and lots of creative talent!

Our kiddos got a special lesson in cookie decorating, and let’s just say… holiday cookie decorating has been taken up a notch! After learning the tricks of the trade, mastering their piping skills, and doing some very important “quality control” taste tests, we officially have certified pastry pros in the making.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Savannah Cafe & Bakery for opening up your space to host us and sharing your sweetest secrets. You didn't just teach the kids a fun skill—sending along extra cookies for everyone to enjoy made the day even more special. We are so grateful for your kindness and community heart!

Our Saturday morning was filled with bright colors, big smiles, and so much creativity!

There’s nothing quite like watching our families come together to slow down, create, and make sweet memories side by side. From tiny hands painting their very first masterpieces to the teens diving right into the artistic fun, the studio was buzzing with joy, connection, and a whole lot of imagination!

A big thank you to The Glazery art & fun for hosting our community and opening up your beautiful space to us. Your warmth and encouragement made the families feel right at home. Thank you for helping us create keepsakes and memories that will last a lifetime!

A heartfelt thank you to Sugar Creek Baptist Church for being such an extraordinary host for The Sanctuary Hope Family Camp this September.

The goal of Hope Family Camp is to support adoptive families by providing the tools for everyone in the family! Putting on this camp takes a village, and the community of Sugar Creek showed up in every possible way. From opening your doors and ensuring we had every resource needed to run smoothly, keeping our campers and staff fed by catering delicious meals for the weekend, to the giving of your time, your generosity was felt at every turn!

A special shout-out goes to the incredible volunteers who stepped in with open arms—engaging with the kids, lending a hand behind the scenes, and bringing such joyful, positive energy to every single activity. You played a massive role in creating an unforgettable experience for our families.

We could not have done this without your hospitality, support, and dedication. Thank you for investing in our youth and making Hope Family Camp an overwhelming success!

Our families did all things fall with The Watershed Church where they painted pumpkins, made a skeleton from paper plates, completed a scavenger hunt in the pumpkin patch, played some lawn games, and just enjoyed being together! They ended the day with hot dogs and hamburgers with all the sides for lunch! Thank you Grace Church Houston for partnering with us and The Watershed to serve our families and kiddos!

We are so grateful to MelandBill Dodd for your heart to host this event and care for the families!

Our families had a glowin' good time at Cookie Joe's Dancin' School for a dance party with all the details! The kids could pick a costume, glow sticks, and face painting, then move onto group dance lessons, balloon glow party, and just cut loose on the dance floor! The families were fed with pizza and cookies and all the goodies.

Another thank you to Exchange Club of Sugar Land for your generous sponsorship that allowed the details, big and small, to happen that allowed the families to have a wonderful time!
