Good Morning Trudy,
We have received all of the packages this week and the troops have been elated with everything you all sent! We have been creating packages with the items in the boxes and will be distributing them the remainder of the week. We cannot thank you all enough for your support. I have attached a few pics of a group of soldiers who saw the boxes come in and went straight for the chips and cards written by the children! 🙂

H.O.M.E. has a new item you can pick up for only $1.00 each on December 7th in the H.O.M.E. lobby.
We have thousands of charms that can be used for your own collection or your daughter’s collection, son or grandchildren’s collections or to trade.
The charms are also good for teacher gifts, or stocking stuffers. Or for any gift during the year.

UPDATE ON HOME - Help Our Military Endure
All prices from the USPS have gone up and so has the Flat Rate Medium Boxes. We now ship the medium boxes at a crazy price of $18.40 per box. The large Flat Rate boxes are $21.60. Now you can see why we can only barely afford to ship the medium boxes.
On 6-20-24 I will be shipping 40 Boxes to two units. One Army unit in Germany and one Airforce unit in Diego Garcia.
HOME still has 35 filled medium flat rate boxes ready to go, but HOME needs the funds to ship them.

HOME has been supporting Jonas Farias since he was a Sailor in Japan, and today he was promoted to Lieutenant while on board the United States Navy Ship Mercy. We are very proud of him and honored to his friend. Enjoy the pictures and his smile while he is promoted..

To All
I thank all that helped on Saturday, December 4th at the 2023 packing party at the HOME Office.
The Dickinson JR ROTC was amazing. We would not have been able to do anything that they did. I stand and salute you young men and women that were at the packing party on Saturday. You are AWESOME. I know it was thin picking, but you still did a great job. We have 233 care packages to ship this week to our deployed men and women in our military.
I know I have said this before, and I will say it again. These men and women do not know these packages are coming and they need all the items we ship because they cannot get to a PX or Walmart, not even a corner store. They must BUY everything. EVERYTHING. Including their toothbrushes and socks. They even need to buy their own boots and uniforms. That’s right, boots and uniforms. Some even need to buy their own guns and ammo. Why do you ask? Just like our government will not ship these care packages to our deployed military for free, they will not supply our military with the necessary items as simple as toothpaste and toothbrushes. I cannot figure it out and I cannot explain it.
However, HOME tries to do the best we can all year long. Everyone that reads this message can still help. The increase from the post office keeps going up. The 233 care packages that were done on December 4th will ship at a cost of $16.96 per box. I will try to get them out before 2024 begins since I am sure the post office will increase the price again.
Everyone can help. You can help by adopting a box for the cost of $16.96. Visit our website at

Hello from HOME - Help Our Military Endure
Do you want to help our deployed military?
The bins at the HOME office need your help. They need more items to be shipped to our deployed men and women for CHRISTMAS.
The packing party is December 2 12:00 noon at the HOME office. Please visit us at the HOME website for the shopping list and bring your goodies to the office.
Or you can bring items to the packing party early to help separate items and pack up the care packages.

I hope all that read this will THANK a vet not only tomorrow on Veterans Day but everyday when you see one.
HOME is preparing for the December Packing Party that will be on Saturday, December 2. You can bring items that need to be separated from the food and Health items to the HOME office on 17629 El Camino Real, Suite 100 starting at 10:00 The packing will start at 12:00 noon in the lobby of the Office building.
HOME does need a lot of items along with funds to ship the care packages which ship for $16.96 per box.
