We work inside school systems with superintendents, principals, educators and other personnel, and forge community partnerships that bring resources into schools and help remove barriers to learning. Our model addresses the total student—because students with unmet physical, psychological and social needs cannot learn effectively—and the whole school environment. Our research has shown that this a

ttention to the needs of both the entire school and the individual student is critical to reducing dropout rates and increasing graduation rates.

CIS-BA Student Support Specialist Dana Stephens recently had the honor of sponsoring AVID student Tessa’h Brown at Dickinson High School.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an elective course dedicated to building college and career readiness skills, helping students develop the tools and confidence they need for future success.

We are especially proud to share that Tessa’h will be attending the University of Houston–Clear Lake this fall. Her hard work, determination, and commitment to her goals have been truly inspiring, and we celebrate all she has accomplished. 🎓

CIS-BA Student Support Specialists and teachers wear many hats, and sometimes that means stepping behind the camera to capture special moments.

A heartfelt thank you to CIS-BA Student Support Specialist Erin Menefee for taking these beautiful senior photos, and to Jamie Kazawic, teacher at Clear Brook High School, for generously donating caps and gowns and assisting on photo shoot day.

Because of their kindness and dedication, these seniors now have memorable photos to celebrate this important milestone. 🎓📸

Golden Ticket Attendance Day is always a favorite at Calder Road Elementary! 🎟️

Twelve lucky students found Golden Tickets hidden under their desks throughout the building. After the morning announcement, the ticket winners came to the front office to claim their prizes and enjoy a special celebration.

Once all of the winners arrived, the Assistant Principal, Jennifer Walker, used a money gun to “spray” students with Gator Bucks. Money that can be used at the school store.

This fun tradition rewards students simply for showing up to school and serves as a reminder of how important attendance is. You never know when it might be your turn to find a Golden Ticket!

Wow! Once again, the Sam Houston Chapter NSDAR have blown us away with their incredible generosity.

They donated more than 1,900 books to students at McWhirter Elementary, ensuring that every student will take home three books to enjoy over the summer.

Their support didn’t stop there! Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution also volunteered alongside Webster Presbyterian Church for three days to organize the books and help students select their summer reading material.

Thank you to these amazing community partners for helping foster a love of reading and learning beyond the classroom! 📖

Congratulations to Ms. DeRaimo’s 3rd grade homeroom for achieving the highest attendance percentage for both the 3rd and 4th nine weeks! These dedicated students showed up every day, on time and ready to learn.

To celebrate their outstanding commitment, they enjoyed an ice cream sundae party sponsored by our Adopt-A-School Partner, the Friendswood Zetas.
