The Cheer Up for Vets Give Back event at Chicken N Pickle - Webster was a great success! Thank you to my rockstar Board, Chicken N Pickle - Webster, Forest Park Cemetery East, Texas State Council Epsilon Sigma Alpha International Zeta Tau Chapter and all the amazing supporters that showed up tonight. Together we wrote out 250 thank you cards to our veterans! Wow, that is definitely a beautiful message. These cards will be delivered to veterans at multiple facilitates around the Houston area during Veteran’s Day. Thank you so much for joining us in honoring those that have given so much in service to our country.🇺🇸

Join us tomorrow night at Chicken N’ Pickle in Webster for Give Back Night from 6:00-8:00 pm. 10% of all food and beverages purchased during this time will benefit Cheer Up for Vets. So come network with us and write a thank you card to a veteran as we will also be hosting a Card Warrior Campaign to gear up for Veterans Day.🇺🇸

Thank you to Texas State Council Epsilon Sigma Alpha International for allowing me the opportunity to share the mission of Cheer Up for Vets at your State Convention this morning and partnering with us in that mission as we honored our women veterans. I was deeply moved as each veteran on the panel courageously shared their personal stories, experiences, and journeys through military service and beyond. We all came together after the meeting to pack more than 200 vet kits. These kits were then filled with toiletries and essential items purchased and donated by the amazing women of ESA and specifically prepared for female veterans.

To all the veterans on the panel, Trisha Stetzel, Debbie Morris, Bonnie Templeton and Marsha Killam….thank you all for your service. Thank you to my VP, Kristen Wilson Day for inviting Trisha to the panel and always being supportive and committed to our mission. Thank you to Kaci White-Foster and Lorena Blaylock, you ladies are rockstars. To my friend, President Julie Walker Leith, for “Daring Greatly” so many months ago when you first approached me about this partnership…thank you so very much.

Today was such a beautiful act of compassion and appreciation that reflected the heart of the event — honoring, uplifting, and supporting the women who have given so much in service to others.🇺🇸

Cheer Up for Vets is partnering with Grace Church Houston to honor our veterans at the Forest Park East Cemetery for Memorial Day. We’ll be placing flags and a rose at each stone. If you’d like to volunteer please comment below, we’d love to have you join us.🇺🇸

Texas to Mississippi with LoVE❤️

Its one thing to say I’ve got your back. It’s another thing to show up when it counts. It was truly my honor to show up for my dear friend Holmes’ non-profit Combat Boots 2 Red Bottoms inaugural veteran expo and share the mission of Cheer Up for Vets. Latisha, who is an Army veteran, and I met a few years back and have been friends ever since. It was so nice to reconnect with my beautiful friend again and I was sad to leave her today. I got to meet so many amazing veterans and civilians on this trip that are now part of my extended family. The time away was a welcome reprieve for me and so good for my soul. I will be back soon.
