Lunar Rendezvous Festival A nonprofit organization that raises funds for need-based scholarships and other local nonprofits.

The Lunar Rendezvous Festival is one of the Houston Bay Area's oldest and largest charity organizations. Founded in 1965 to honor the community's contributions to the history of space exploration, Lunar Rendezvous has allowed generations of Houston Bay Area residents the opportunity to give back by supporting dozens of worthy 501(c)(3) local charities, as well as awarding over 1 million dollars in

need-based college scholarships in the past ten years alone. Lunar Rendezvous prides itself as a service-oriented organization, with a focus on teaching tomorrow's leaders the importance of volunteerism.

WE ARE HONORED TO INTRODUCE PRINCESS AUBRIE CROCHET AS PART OF THE 2026 LUNAR RENDEZVOUS FESTIVAL COURT

My name is Aubrie Crochet, and I am from League City, Texas! I attend Clear Creek High School, where I participate in the dance team. I take pride in being the Secretary on the Social Committee and am also a member of six honor societies and a 3-year superintendent scholar.

My interests and hobbies include hanging out with my best friends and family. I also love traveling, crafting, baking, and anything to do with sunshine! In my free time, I often find joy in teaching dance or volunteering in the community.

In the future, I hope to be doing a job that I love with great people surrounding me. I carry many inspirations for life, including my parents, who work extremely hard for everything I have.

FUN FACT: I practiced ballet for 12 years of my life before joining the drill team!

My name is Lillian Cruz, and I am from League City, Texas. I am currently attending Clear Springs High School, where I am the STUCO vice president, as well as on the editorial staff for my school's yearbook.

My favorite hobbies are hanging out with my friends, working out, bible studies, and photography.
My future goals are to attend college here in Texas and become a sports news broadcaster

THE 2026 LUNAR RENDEZVOUS FESTIVAL WARMLY WELCOMES PRINCESS MARIE SHAW

My name is Marie Shaw, and I currently attend Clear Lake High School. I am a class officer, TET member (Texas Association of Future Teachers), CRISCO officer, and a member of the National Honor Society

I enjoy doing crafts, reading, Bible studies, and hanging out with my friends. I also volunteer at my church every Sunday in preschool, teaching 3 and 4-year-olds about the Lord.

In the future, I would like to be a history teacher at either a high school or a university. I am inspired by my family, who values the importance of education.

Each year, Lunar Rendezvous Festival provides multiple $8,000 need-based scholarships, awarded over two years, to help students with tuition, books, and other educational expenses. At Dining Night on June 15, 2026, at Parkwood American Grille, we invite you to raise your paddle at one of the giving levels to help fund additional scholarships for deserving students.

PLEASE JOIN US IN WELCOMING PRINCESS SOFIA MORENO TO THE 2026 LUNAR RENDEZVOUS FESTIVAL COURT

My name is Sofia Moreno, and I’m from Clear Lake City, where I attend Lutheran South Academy. I’m a varsity cheerleader and have served as team chaplain. Additionally, I have received both the Pioneer Award and the Most Improved Award. I also participate in theater, where I performed as “Gingy” in Shrek the Musical.

I am an honors choir member, serving as the social media chair. I am also the lead vocalist in my school’s worship band, the junior class VP, sophomore representative, Jesus club leader and girls' Bible study club founder. In addition, I am an NHS member and Bay Area Service Teens volunteer.

In the future, I hope to become a pediatric nurse so that I can one day do missionary work. My goal is to serve and love others. I am most inspired by my mom because she has a servant’s heart.

FUN FACT: I have three older brothers, which has made me fearless!
