Today is Purple Thursday, a national day of action during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

We're wearing purple to stand with survivors, honor those whose lives have been affected by domestic violence, and reaffirm our commitment to ending abuse.

Domestic violence affects people in every community, including here in Haywood County. While wearing purple may seem like a small gesture, it offers an opportunity to bring attention to an issue that too often goes unspoken and to remind our community that support and resources are available.

We invite you to join us in wearing purple today and helping keep this important conversation going. 💜

🍂 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Domestic violence happens right here in our community. Over the past year, REACH served 294 survivors, provided 6,922 services, and offered 2,005 nights of safe shelter to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence.

With the opening of our new Advocacy Center in Waynesville, we're continuing to create a safe, welcoming space where people can talk with an advocate, explore their options, and get connected with the support and resources they need.

But we can't do this work alone, and we could always use more helping hands!

Whether you'd like to volunteer, make a donation, or organize a service day with your business or community group, we'd love to have you involved.
