For generations, the American dream was simple and visual. A modest home, a yard, a couple of kids running through it, a grill on the back porch, maybe a white picket fence. That simple model has gone from achievable to unrealistic in a matter of decades.

Exciting things are happening at Chestnut Park!

Construction is officially beginning on our new neighborhood playground, and we’re thrilled to partner with .bridges to bring the space to life. Their team specializes in creating beautiful natural play spaces using locust poles, mountain laurel, and nature inspired design elements that encourage creativity, movement, and adventure.

This playground will become a welcoming gathering space for children and families in the Chestnut Park neighborhood and surrounding communities of Haywood County. This is something completely different for the county, and we can’t wait to watch it take shape over the coming weeks.
