Meet Another NAMI Northwoods Board Member!🎉
This is Ashley Weinke. She decided to volunteer with NAMI to help foster a wholesome, supportive, and inclusive community by being involved in a positive mental health movement. Ashley's favorite mental health resource is her favorite way to practice self-care, which is hiking with her dog! One fun fact about Ashley is that she also likes to practice self-care by tapping into her creative side. She has fun with a variety of mediums, including but not limited to photography, painting, and participating in the local area Chalkfest!

Meet NAMI Northwoods' Executive Director, who runs the day to day duties for our organization.🎉
This is Tracy Schlegel, she chose to work at NAMI because she believes that no one should have to face mental illness alone, especially in rural communities. Her favorite mental health resource is her support team, which includes her husband, Mark, and her cocker spaniel named Daisy. One fun fact about Tracy is that she names her cars! She currently has a "Bruce" (named after the shark in Finding Nemo, and a Bradley.

Tomorrow night at NAMI Northwoods Peer Support Group, we’re adding a little creativity to the evening.

Each person who attends will receive a small journal to decorate and take home. Make it calming, colorful, funny, inspiring, or completely your own. No artistic talent required.

Peer support is a welcoming, confidential, peer-led space for adults living with mental health conditions to connect with others who understand. Whether you share, listen, or simply enjoy being around people who get it, you are welcome here.

She decided to volunteer with NAMI to support access to mental healthcare and show individuals living with a mental illness can still thrive. Stephanie's favorite mental health resource is her local library! She loves that they offer a variety of different resources and books for significantly cheaper, if not free! Lastly, one fun fact about Stephanie is that she enjoys to garden and hut for rocks in Michigan.
