Does anybody else realize the population of Wausau has not increased since the beer fences went up? Coincidence? It's been way too long to see other communities grow around the City. Come on Wausau. I stopped at the fairgounds this evening and there were about 25 people in the beer tent.... I'm sure Stevens Point Riverfront was rocking as always tonight

So this is how it works at a little bar 3 miles out if the Wausau city limits. Over woo peeps, no issues, just folks having fun with great entertainment. This same group "Brad and Sid" will also be at the Hiawatha 6 times this Summer. Their little "cage" can't handle this crowd. Did I mention the onside bar was just as packed. Economics at it's best. Come on Wausau "tear down the fences"

I live in the Appleton area now, their summer concert series is going on it's third week. Wrist bands, security staff, and NO FENCES right Downtown, huh, Imagine that? Oh, and no problems either

I did not attend, but I drove by the 400 Block's Octoberfest sponsored by Wausau Area Events the last weekend in Sepember and noticed NO FENCES!!!! Kudos to Area Events for stepping out and doing the event right. They used security and the simple wrist band approach which is what I have been telling everyone to use. Especially the Fair Board. Can you imagine the extra funds they could raise by charging a $1.00 fee for a wrist band a day!
