September is show month for CenterStage Band and Show Choir, and we have one more member for you to meet - before you see him on stage, of course. 😃 Here is Colton!

*Why did you join CenterStage Band and Show Choir?
I was technically indoctrinated by Missy, but it was more so because I wanted to keep performing after finishing college.

*What is your favorite part thus far?
How close the community is, and how much passion everyone has.

*What is your favorite song this year and why?
"Dance Evolution." It’s a beautiful mix of some of the most fun songs ever created; how could you not love it?

*What is the #1 reason people should come to the show (other than that it’s FREE!)?
It’s a fun show that brings the whole community together.

*What is your biggest piece of advice for someone who is interested in the performing arts?
Just do it. Sing from the heart, give it your best, and see what happens. Even in the worst case scenario, the worst news you can hear is that you didn’t make it this time.

One of our new members has been "dancing for two" all season. 😉 Meet Victoria, originally from Marshfield!

*Why did you join CenterStage Band and Show Choir?
I love music and missed performing with a group, especially the energy of show choir. When I heard about CenterStage, I knew I had to check it out!

*What is your favorite part thus far?
The community of people who love music all coming together!

*What is your favorite song this year and why?
I love our medleys! They’re such a fun mix of many different songs.

*What else should people know about you?
We recently became a family of 3! 🍼❤

*What is the #1 reason people should come to the show (other than that it’s FREE!)?
To enjoy some music, dance, and great energy!

*What is your biggest piece of advice for someone who is interested in the performing arts?
There are a lot of local groups and opportunities to participate in performing arts. Find an opportunity and go for it! The worst that can happen from trying is just a (temporary) “no.”

We ❤ Thursdays (and not only because it is almost Friday 😉) - it is rehearsal night! As we look forward to this evening, we would like to introduce you to Hailey, another new member of CenterStage Band and Show Choir!

*Why did you join CenterStage Band and Show Choir?
I joined CenterStage because my mom is a performing member, and after coming to the shows for the past few years, I fell in love with everything. It reminded me how much I missed singing and dancing, so joining CenterStage felt like the perfect opportunity to get back to doing something I love.

*What is your favorite part thus far?
My favorite part has definitely been getting back to singing and dancing alongside such a talented group of people. It’s been so much fun learning new choreography, performing together, and creating memories with everyone.

*What is your favorite song this year and why?
My favorite song this year is “Blame It on the Boogie” because it always reminds me of Pitch Perfect and I love that movie!

*What is the #1 reason people should come to the show (other than that it’s FREE!)?
People should come see the show because they’ll get to watch incredibly talented performers pour their hearts into something they truly love. There’s so much energy, passion, and entertainment packed into every performance!

*What is your biggest piece of advice for someone who is interested in the performing arts?
If you have a passion for the performing arts, give it your all. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and take every opportunity you can to do what makes you happy. You never know where it might lead!

With only one song left to learn for "CenterStage Yearbook," it is time to start introducing the new members that you will see on stage on September 24th-26th! Let's kick things off with Jordan.

*Why did you join CenterStage Band and Show Choir?
I’ve been involved in theatre, choir, and dance for almost my entire life. Performing has always been a passion of mine, and after seeing past CenterStage shows and how much fun everyone was having on stage, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

*What is your favorite part thus far?
The people! Everyone has been so kind, welcoming, and supportive. It’s such a fun group to spend time with every week.

*What is your favorite song this year and why?
I honestly don’t have just one favorite, I love them all! Since we perform so many medleys, there’s a wide variety of music, so I end up having a new favorite every week!

*What else should people know about you?
I’m a real estate agent, so if you’re buying or selling a home, I’d love to help! 🏘 Outside of CenterStage, I live with my husband and our four cats. I’m also involved with my local community theatre groups and love going to live theatre productions and concerts.

*What is the #1 reason people should come to the show (other than that it’s FREE!)?
The energy is contagious! It’s a fun, entertaining show filled with songs everyone knows and loves. You’ll probably find yourself singing and dancing along with us.

*What is your biggest piece of advice for someone who is interested in the performing arts?
Life is too short, if you enjoy singing, dancing, or acting, don’t be afraid to get involved. Audition for a community theatre production, join a local choir, or even audition for CenterStage! 😊 There is nothing like the feeling of performing on stage, and even if it’s outside your comfort zone, it’s worth the experience.
