Pregnancy-related issues, including abstinence, post-abortion counseling, agency referrals and practical assistance such as diapers and infant clothing

trained lay counselors offer free and confidential counseling in the areas of pregnancy. These issues include: those experiencing an unexpected pregnancy, those struggling with overwhelming fear, anger, guilt and sadness from an abortion, concerned about abstinence, and baby necessities such as diapers, blankets, infant clothes, maternity clothes.

The world focuses on potentiality. Ignoring biology, the world draws an artificial line between “wanted” and “unwanted” life. Believers, however, know it is a life given by God and, therefore, valued by us.

God demonstrated His value for human life as its Creator and Redeemer. He created it in His image.

This image is exclusive to human life, tarnished by human life’s predisposition to sin, and in need of full restoration.

That restoration came at the highest price. Jesus, the Son of God, died for the world’s sins. “The world” includes every human being—the rich, the poor, the strong, the weak, the born, and the unborn.

God’s sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus, shows life’s incredible value. Life has an objective value—namely, it is valuable because it is “life”—regardless of its condition, maturity, or wantedness.

Did you know research has linked regular household chores with stronger life skills in kids? Chores build responsibility, confidence, problem-solving, and patience, and those skills follow children right into the classroom.

This month, our school-based therapists shared a few tips with parents:
• Make it a routine, not a request. Tie chores to a time of day or a visible chore chart.
• Match the job to the age. Preschoolers can pick up toys. Elementary kids can set the table or fold laundry. Teens can do laundry, vacuum, and help with meals.
• Break big jobs into small steps. "Clean your room" becomes put away clothes, dust, vacuum, and put the games away.
• Praise genuine effort, not perfection.

A heartbeat. A brain wave. A life.

By 21 days, a tiny heart is already pulsing — the first visible sign that something profoundly human is growing. By six weeks, brain waves can be detected, signaling the beginning of neurological activity. And while the scientific conversation around fetal pain continues to develop, what we know for certain is this: from the very earliest stages, there is a living, growing human being — not a potential life, but a life with potential.

"You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:13-14)

That's not poetry. That's truth. Before we could do anything to earn it or deserve it, we were known. Woven. Held.

And here's the deeper reality: every single human being is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). That means the unborn child isn't valuable because of what they can do, or what they'll become, or whether they were planned. They are valuable because of whose they are. God is the author of life — He writes each story, He breathes each soul into being, and He calls it good.

So what if we changed the conversation?

Instead of asking, "Is this a life worth keeping?" — what if we asked, "How can we support this mother and this child?"

Instead of offering abortion as the only way out — what if we offered community, resources, mentorship, and real help?

There are women facing impossible situations right now who feel like they have no choice. Let's be the people who show them there is another way. Let's wrap around them with love, with tangible support, with the truth that they are not alone — and neither is the life they're carrying.

Every heartbeat matters. Every brain wave matters. Every soul, knit together by the hands of God, matters.

Choose life. Choose support. Choose love.
