Meet Lexi — the Boston Terrier with a little something extra!

Say hello to Lexi, affectionately known as Lexi Loo — an 11‑month‑old, 25‑lb Boston Terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s friendly, social, and absolutely adores people. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you with full‑body wiggles and endless enthusiasm, Lexi is your girl. This little lady is active, playful, and loves to jump, so any kids in her home need to be at least 8 years old, simply because she can be a bit pushy when she’s excited for attention.

Lexi is wonderfully dog‑social and plays well with pups of all sizes. She’s crate trained like a pro and doing great with her potty training. If you’re gone for a full day, just leave a potty pad out — she’s very reliable about using it if she needs to. She’s working on her leash manners and improving every day.

And now… the “something extra” you’ve been wondering about: Lexi has a tail! A cute little 3–4 inch nub we lovingly call her rudder. It wiggles, it wags, and it makes her even more adorable.

Lexi’s Deets
Fenced yard not required

Apartment living? Totally fine

Dog sibling? She’d love one, but not required - and they should want to play, as she'll annoy older, less energetic dogs

Potty trained & crate trained

Leash training in progress — doing great

No cats (they’re just a little too interesting)

Lexi is ready to bring joy, laughter, and her signature wiggle‑rudder into her forever home. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and spirited companion, Lexi can’t wait to meet you. Her adoption fee is $450, and you can find more information on the adoption process and a link to the application form at https://www.wisconsinbostonterrierrescue.com/adopt. Please email [email protected] with any questions.

We are going to be doing some serious fundraising this month. We took 5 new dogs this weekend that will need vet care. On top of that, Lexi has a reaction to anesthesia and post surgical meds and landed in the ER last night. That vet bill was $1000. We know times are tough for everyone and as an organization that relies solely on donations to save dogs, we feel it too.
If you are able, please donate .

FYI, As soon as Lexi is feeling better, we are making sure she does, she will be available. We are not taking applications until she's 💯, because her health is our first priority.
Please donate if you can, small donations add up quickly.

Misty is a 6 year old, 23 lb female Boston looking for her forever home! She's shy with new people and hasn't really met children before, so any kids in her home should be at least 6 and able to respect her space - but once she warms up she loves pets! She'd enjoy a calm dog friend, and while she hasn't met cats, we see no reason for concern.

A fence would be nice, but isn't required as long as you can keep her on leash. She does sometimes get stubborn and make her foster mom carry her, though. Potty training is a work in progress, and if you work away from home you'll also need to arrange a midday break for her. She's used to being in a playpen while her foster mom is away, and she'll use potty pads then - although prompt cleanup of poo is helpful as she may try to help otherwise.

Misty is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and has had a dental. Due to some tooth extractions, she eats soft food or soaked softened kibble and may need to continue that. Her adoption fee is $400. You can find more information on the adoption process and a link to the application form on our website at https://www.wisconsinbostonterrierrescue.com/adopt. Please email [email protected] with any questions.

Hi FB family! We have taken in quite a few dogs recently and vetting has been expensive and we are getting low on funds. We also know that budgets are tight for everyone, but even small donations help. Today we are starting an auction! If you'd rather send a donation, we welcome those. We have updated our website and monetary donations can be made by clicking on the donate button. https://www.wisconsinbostonterrierrescue.com/
Auction rules: write your bid in the comments of the individual picture for the item you want. The winning bid for each item will be contacted by DM after the auction closes June 1 at 8am. Once the winning bid is contacted, they will pay via the donation link and we will get your items in the mail. Do you know someone that loves Boston's? Remember this would make great house warming gifts, look great in a dorm room or get an early start on Christmas!

**Adopted**

Bruno is an incredibly sweet 7 year old, 25lb female Boston looking for her forever home. Despite her past being used as a breeder dog she is very loving, trusting, kind and gentle! Bruno just wants to be with her people - and she's good with all ages. Want to run errands? She will jump in your car and chill in the back seat. Soccer game? Will gladly watch from your lap. Hike? Her foster mom took her on a 3 mile hike and she loved it. Rainy day? Bruno will curl up next to you. Working from home? She can be your accountability buddy sleeping next to you in her crate. She's an excellent leash walker and crate trained.

Bruno does have moderate separation anxiety, but is ok for 4-6 hours when left in a crate with a treat. She will need that crate when you're not home though - and would love a family where her people are around a lot.

Bruno gets along well with cats, birds and other dogs, and would love to share a home with another calm dog, or will do well as the only dog. She tends to jump up onto new bigger dogs she meets. She hasn't figured out toys other than chewy sticks yet, but another dog may help her learn.

Bruno is spayed and vaccinated, and while she does have an old injury to her pelvis that affects her gate, she gets around just fine and isn't expected to need further treatment for that. Her adoption fee is $400, and you can find more information on the adoption process and a link to the application form on our website at https://www.wisconsinbostonterrierrescue.com/adopt. Please email [email protected] with any questions.

We have a new Puppy Mill Mamma that just got released. She will be making her way to rescue this weekend. We are hoping to get her everything she needs to decompress and adjust to her new life. We don't have a picture just yet as we haven't seen her ourselves yet. This is typical, we don't know anything more than age and gender. This lady is 6 almost 7 years old and a female, poor girl, that is a long time living in terrible mill cages. As soon as we get her to her foster mom, we will post a picture of our little surprise.
Please help welcome our May Mill Mamma by sending something from her Wishlist. Thank you!!
