Conan is a handsome 4 year old, 20 lb Boston with a beautiful brown brindle coat who is looking for his forever home! Conan is a wonderful mix of high energy and chill. He is good on leash, so a fence isn't required if you're willing to keep him on leash. He does need any kids in his forever home to be at least 12, and we're not sure he'd get along with cats.

Conan loves having fun, especially when it is time to play tug with his people - he takes this game very seriously and is in it to win it. Once playtime is over, he is happy to settle down and relax or snuggle. Conan is very enthusiastic about his tug games and may be a bit possessive of toys- that's why no kids under 12. Older kids that understand boundaries and can respect his play style would be a good fit.

Conan is leash trained and doesn't tug or pull, he has wonderful leash manners. He will potty on a leash and rarely has accidents in the house. He will go to the door and cry by it if he has to go. He is also house trained, he is not a chewer and can be trusted alone in the house. You can even leave shoes or the remote out without him eating it!

Conan gets along well with other dogs, though he is not really interested in playing with other dogs, people are his favorite toy. That said, sometimes he will try to play, but it doesn't last long. Other dogs should be friendly, but not overly friendly. Humpers or dogs that require a play buddy, might not be his cup of tea.

Perfect home: Conan will thrive in many home environments! Apartments, that is fine, he's a quiet dude that doesn't mark or chew, and he is good on a leash. He does love having a fenced yard to run laps in and release the zoomies. An active family that will take him out exploring the world will be most important.

Conan is current on vaccines, is microchipped, and will be ready to take home on Sept 16th after his Certified Vet Inspection appointment. His adoption fee will be $400. Hi! My name is Coco Chanel! I weigh in at a whopping 24.5 # and I am solid! I am a 14 month old girl looking for a patient forever home. I do need a home with adults only, although a patient dog-savvy teen could be ok. I'd love it if you had a fence, but leash walks are fine too - they're really fun, the rescue just says you have to keep me securely leashed and help me learn manners! I might also need help learning manners around the fence when there's people outside it, too.

I'm definitely learning things already! I've been here two weeks and so far I have learned “sit” ”puppy chow” and “potty”! I am potty trained and go outside regularly. No accidents in the house! Yay!

I had a rough start to life. My former owner and children abused me. That is why I am afraid of new people, especially men and children. I cower and hide behind my foster mom when I meet new people. I don’t make eye contact and I roll on my back. That's where the patient family without kids part comes in. It's ok if there's a man in the home though as long as I have a mom as my main caretaker and any dad is patient while I get used to him. My foster dad shares his breakfast with me every morning. I now greet him when he comes home and lick his hand when he wants to pet me.

I would like my own family but it may take some time for me to come around. We have a big fenced in yard here. I can play with my foster sisters and chase the squirrels and birds. Other dogs are fine to have around, but it's ok if I don't have dog siblings too. I am learning how to share, wait for my name to be called when getting a treat and not steal the other dogs food!

I tend to be pushy sometimes when the other dogs are getting pets. I just plow right in. But I am learning to be patient. Ongoing training will be needed. I am kind of like a bull in a china shop!

I like walks on a leash. We just take our time and I get to sniff a lot.

I have a crate with a playpen around it. That is where I eat and sleep. It is also my safe place. I put myself to bed at night. My foster mom says I can't be trusted loose unsupervised yet. I am learning about toys but my favorite things to chew and tear up are Kleenex and paper towels!

I am a very sweet, lovable, friendly girl once I get to know you. If you want someone to follow you “everywhere” I am your gal. I am spayed and I am caught up on vaccinations. Dilly Dally, nicknamed Abby in her foster home, is a two year old, 33 lb female Beagle-Bulldog mix (aka Beabull!) looking for her forever home! This sweet girl would be good with other calm dogs, or as an only dog, and with children age 6+. She's a bit shy and hasn't learned to walk on leash yet, so she'll need a secure physically fenced yard. We haven't seen her with cats, but she would likely be fine.

Abby is a lower energy girl looking for a place to snuggle up - and keep working on her dog skills like leash training. After being treated for GI issues that have now resolved, she's gotten house training down, though!

Sweet little Dixy is ready for her forever home! She is a 15lb, 7 year old female looking for a loving family. Dixy is good with or without other dogs, and while she hasn't met cats, there's no reason for concern. She'd be fine with children age 6+; screaming does make her nervous so children in her family need to be able to use quieter voices around her. She enjoys walks, so as long as you can keep her on leash a fence isn't necessary.

Dixy does well in a crate for about 6-7 hours in her foster home, and she's making good progress with house training as long as you keep an eye out for marking attempts. You might also need to keep an eye out for mischievous attempts to find things to chew on while you teach her which things are her toys. This smart girl has also learned to sit and is working on shake!
