Planning for the 2026 Christmas Friendship Dinner has officially commenced!

Our volunteer appreciation party was a great success. Thank you, to all who attended!

We shared stories, gave away door prizes, voted on and welcomed new board members, filled a few of the lead positions that were open, and shared a delicious meal.

Who’s ready to celebrate?! This Saturday, April 11th from 11-1 we are having a Volunteer Appreciation Party.

Where: 3800 W Museum Dr • Wasilla, AK
(The Alaska Transportation Museum Event Center)

This includes, volunteers from the past, present and future! We want new volunteers who are ready to jump in and help our community have the best holiday. As you may know, holidays can be hard and lonely for many.

We will have door prizes, food and encouraging stories. We also have a little bit of business to take care of.

Here’s what we will need this year…
We have 4 board seats that need to be filled.

We are also looking for leads in the following areas..

If you have talents in any of these areas or know someone who does, please send them our way! This is an amazing opportunity to get more involved in our community and to make new friends. We need to fill these positions to keep this Christmas Friendship Dinner going.

You make a difference!

By volunteering, you make a difference in our community and in the lives of those we serve. Sometimes the difference is a drop in the bucket. Other times, it creates a tidal wave of change. From the anonymous volunteers who donate their resources to those who donate their time and talents, their mission provides valuable support to our community.

We are coming together during National Volunteer Month to celebrate YOU! Join us 
 on April 11, 2026, 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.

Where: 3800 W Museum Drive, Wasilla, AK
at the Alaska Transportation Museum in the Event Center

This meeting is also our Annual Meeting, where we elect new members to our Board of Directors, and we would love to give you a chance to get more involved with our organization. We are also looking for volunteers who would like to share in the responsibility for leadership roles in different areas of our organization.

We will have door prizes, food, and lots of encouraging stories to share. Come and enjoy the festive event and bring the family.

ATTENTION VOLUNTEERS!!! You are cordially invited to a celebration for YOU! We could not do what we do without you, and it's high time we let you know just how much you mean to us. 

There will be food, prizes, stories, and new friends. We will elect new members to our Board of Directors, share our successes, and discuss ways to make improvements to the Christmas Friendship Dinner for 2027. 

We are looking for volunteers who would like to get more involved in what we do and take on the responsibility of leadership positions. These leadership positions do require a good amount of time and dedication, including meetings, and especially the week of Christmas. If you are interested in a leadership role, you can talk to Linda at the meeting or email her at [email protected].

Remember that you have until March 31st to fill out your PFD. If you are able, we would love you to choose us as your PICK CLICK GIVE organization.

Already filed? No problem! Through August 31, you can go to https://myinfo.pfd.dor.alaska.gov/ to retrieve your application and update your PFD selections.

Please help us continue to share Christ’s joy, hope, and fellowship with our entire community by providing a fabulous free meal and much more every year on Christmas Day.

Saturday we had our After Action Review meeting for the 2025 Christmas Friendship Dinner.

The board and the leads were full of positive stories and feedback. One thing we all agreed on was WE HAVE THE BEST VOLUNTEERS!! The time and talents you spend with us is a blessing to many!

Here’s the numbers you have been waiting for…

We sereved approximately 3300 people!
We had between 300 & 350 volunteers!
It took approximately 3000 man hours to plan and pull off the 2025 Christmas Friendship Dinner.
