This week in our Behind the Scenes of National Programs series, we’re highlighting Families First and the importance of building strong, supportive relationships with those around us.

Families play such an important role in our lives, and this program helps students understand communication, relationships, and the ways we can support the people who matter most. From creating meaningful connections to strengthening our communities, Families First reminds us that the little moments can make a big impact.

We are 20 days away from NLC! The Indiana SEC is so excited to see you guys in the capital!

On June 4th, the SEC got together for our first state officer training/meeting! We also got some great pictures taken of us thanks to our VP of Public Relations, Ronan Buckner . In this meeting, we were planning for NLC, as well as your next year’s state conference! On behalf of Indiana FCCLA SEC, we CANNOT wait to see you in 22 days at Nationals!

This morning, we are celebrating two Frontier High School students! Cole Reel and Chase Pekny both earned their Culinary Certificates from Ivy Tech this year. This is a wonderful accomplishment! They were able to attend the Ivy Tech graduation ceremony in early May. Chase Pekny also earned an Associate's Degree from the institution!

Congratulations, Cole and Chase! 🎉

With summer here and more students on the road, it’s the perfect time to focus on responsible driving habits, avoiding distractions, and making smart decisions behind the wheel. FCCLA’s FACTS program empowers students to become advocates for traffic safety and leaders in creating safer roads for everyone.

Your FCCLA story could be publicized in the 2025-2026 Annual Report! 🌟

National FCCLA is collecting memorable stories, achievements, and high-quality photos from across the nation for potential inclusion in this year’s Annual Report.

Two opportunities are available:

📌 General Stories for Feature�Highlight FCCLA Members, Chapters, States, Advisers, Competitive Events achievements, National Programs projects, scholarships, awards, leadership experiences, service projects, conference impact, and more.

📌 Career Cluster Stories for Feature�National FCCLA will feature six FCCLA Members for each Career Cluster, spotlighting how FCCLA helped shape future career goals, build leadership skills, explore career pathways, and connect classroom learning, Competitive Events, National Programs, conferences, or chapter involvement to college, training, workforce, or career plans.

Whether it is a powerful service project, a standout achievement, a meaningful FCCLA experience, or a future career path shaped by Family and Consumer Sciences education, National FCCLA wants to hear from you.

To be considered for on-site interviews at the National Leadership Conference, submit by Friday, June 5. Selected participants may also have the opportunity to take photos on-site with the National FCCLA Photographer.
