An active shooting at an Oregon elementary school has left multiple people injured, including children.

As we wait to learn more, let's remember what we already know: school shootings are not inevitable; they are not normal; and they are not acceptable.

We must take action to address the easy access to fi****ms that makes this a uniquely American problem.

Multiple people were injured, including children, and a shooter is dead after an active shooter situation at an elementary school in Bend, Oregon, according to police.

The gun industry’s solution to individuals facing domestic violence? Buy a gun. All while they oppose laws to protect survivors.

Every 12 hours, someone in the U.S. is shot and killed by an intimate partner. Introducing fi****ms into these situations can be deadly.

🚨 JUST IN: The ATF has made it legal to buy or make silencers, short-barreled ri**es, and “sawed-off” sh****ns without so much as a background check after a single activist judge ruled that 100-year-old regulations were unconstitutional.

The agency chose to apply the ruling broadly nationwide, dismantling longstanding safeguards and putting lives at risk. This administration knows the stakes—and it's doing this anyway.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration proposed 34 ATF rule changes to roll back gun violence protections. We asked Brady advocates to weigh in on many of the measures open for public comment.

In all, 38K+ public comments were submitted. The Trace analyzed the comments and found an interesting divide between gun businesses and customers.

The administration touted the changes as a win for the gun industry. The response was more complicated.

It's the last day the DOJ can appeal a court ruling that overturned century-old regulations on silencers, short-barreled ri**es, and “sawed-off” sh****ns. But the agency wasted no time, having announced Thursday that it wouldn't appeal the deregulation of these uniquely dangerous weapons.

DOJ announced it will not appeal the ruling in Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF, overturning century-old common-sense regulations on silencers and more.

Women deserve to be safe. But we should be highly skeptical of an industry that sees our fear as an opportunity for massive profit and markets fi****ms as a risk-free solution.

Bringing a gun into the home introduces a new set of risks. Read my latest Substack post on Locked & Unloaded.

Today marks the ninth anniversary of the deadliest mass shooting in America.

60 people were killed, and more than 400 people were wounded when a gunman opened fire with an AR-15 at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, NV.

This December, the Supreme Court will hear arguments that bans on assault weapons are unconstitutional. Let's be clear about what that would mean — more mass shootings. More deaths.

We honor the lives lost by continuing to fight for and uphold bans on assault weapons. These laws SAVE lives.

Big win in Delaware‼️

Earlier this month, we celebrated Gov. Meyer’s signing of the Gun Dealer Licensing and Code of Conduct Act. This critical legislation requires gun dealers to follow responsible business practices. It also allows the state to hold a dealer accountable in cases of extreme or repeated negligence by revoking their license — helping prevent the flow of illegal fi****ms and gun violence in Delaware and beyond.

Thank you to Denise and all the advocates, survivors, families, and leaders who make these strides towards safer communities possible!

Nearly a week ago, President Trump told the Department of Justice NOT to appeal a recent federal court ruling that makes it easier to obtain short-barreled fi****ms and silencers.

That makes it even more important for everyone to get loud!

Time is running out. Attorney General Todd Blanche has until October 5 to appeal this deadly ruling. Will you sign our petition urging DOJ to file an appeal BEFORE the deadline?

On Friday, the Department of Justice announced that it considers a federal ban on handgun sales to adults under 21 to be unconstitutional.

This provision has protected public safety for generations - this decision will simply make us all less safe.

For over 50 years, federal law prohibited handgun sales to those aged 18 to 20. A September 18th DOJ opinion has declared that law unconstitutional.
