Small mammals. Big contributions.

Many bats feed on insects, including pests that damage crops. Others pollinate plants or spread seeds that help forests regenerate.

Protecting bats means protecting the habitats and ecological connections that wildlife—and people—depend on.

This Bat Week, give these nighttime neighbors the recognition they deserve.

What happens when efforts to fast-track energy development put endangered species at risk?

In his recent article, Fast Tracking Extinction in the Name of Clean Energy, conservation advocate Chris Allieri examines how a proposed Senate permitting deal could weaken the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and threaten vulnerable wildlife.

For migratory species like the piping plover, which travel across state lines, consistent federal protections are essential. Shifting key ESA responsibilities to individual states could create dangerous gaps in those protections.

We shouldn't have to choose between advancing clean energy and protecting endangered species. Both are essential to a sustainable future.

Thank you to Chris Allieri for highlighting what's at stake and recognizing the organizations fighting to defend the ESA.

🦇 It’s Bat Week! Let’s celebrate the wildlife working the night shift and the people helping protect them.

Bats help keep ecosystems healthy by eating insects, pollinating flowers, and dispersing seeds. But endangered species like the Florida bonneted bat need our help to keep their futures secure.

Meet Dr. Frank Ridgley of Zoo Miami's Miami Bat Lab. Working with Bat Conservation International and other partners, his team is studying these remarkable bats and creating custom bat boxes that provide safe places to rest and raise their young. Their work shows how science, creativity, and collaboration can give an endangered species a fighting chance.

The decisions made before construction begins can shape the future of wildlife and their habitats for generations.

The debate over permitting reform is about whether threatened and endangered species receive the consideration and protections they need along the way. As Congress considers changes to the permitting process, efficiency must not come at the expense of scientific review and environmental accountability, or the safeguards that help prevent harm to vulnerable species.

Protecting wildlife should never be an afterthought.

Rising temperatures, prolonged droughts, and rising seas can damage habitats and disrupt the conditions threatened and endangered wildlife need to survive, adding pressure to species already at risk of extinction.

The Endangered Species Act (ESA) provides a vital framework for protecting and recovering imperiled species and the ecosystems they depend on. As climate change reshapes those ecosystems, recovery efforts must account for changing habitats and the risks ahead.

Protecting wildlife means acting on climate change, restoring and connecting habitats, and supporting a strong ESA.

Together, we can give threatened and endangered species a better chance to recover.

Climate action is wildlife action.

Calling all orca lovers! 🐋💙 You're officially invited to join the SUPERPOD!

Southern Resident orcas are known for their remarkable family bonds, living in close-knit pods and sometimes gathering in larger groups called superpods.

Our SUPERPOD design, created by artist Gabriel Newton, features Oreo (J-22), a Southern Resident orca from J Pod.

With Southern Resident orcas facing ongoing threats, including declining salmon availability, protecting these extraordinary animals and their habitats is more important than ever.

🌊 Wear your love for orcas and support ESC's conservation work!

This World Planting Day, plant with wildlife in mind!

Native trees, shrubs, and flowers can provide food and shelter for wildlife, from pollinators and birds to threatened and endangered species that depend on healthy habitats.

Choose plants native to your area and suited to your space. Whether you’re planting a tree, creating a garden, or growing flowers in a container, consider what local wildlife needs throughout the seasons.

Celebrate the connection between healthy plant communities and species conservation. Let’s grow more places where wildlife can thrive.

🐢🦎🐊 Happy National Reptile Awareness Day!

Reptiles may not always get the same attention as their furry and feathered neighbors, but they are an extraordinary part of our planet's biodiversity.

From tiny turtles hidden in wetlands to lizards adapted to life among desert dunes, these species are uniquely connected to the habitats they call home. Yet habitat destruction and pollution, among many other human activities continue to threaten their survival.

The American alligator's remarkable recovery shows us what's possible when we commit to protecting wildlife. Other reptiles deserve that same chance.

This , let's celebrate these incredible creatures and continue advocating for the Endangered Species Act and the habitats that sustain them. 💚

🐝🌼 Love pollinators? Wear your support!

From monarch butterflies to native bees, pollinators play an essential role in keeping ecosystems healthy and helping native plants thrive. But habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change are putting many of these important species at risk.

Our Pollinator Protectors collection celebrates the incredible relationships between pollinators and the plants they depend on. 🌿🦋

Show your love for pollinators while supporting the Endangered Species Coalition's work to protect native plants and restore pollinator habitat!
