At MCH, our mission is to embody the educational principles of Dr. Maria Montessori in a close-knit,

Dr. Maria Montessori was a strong believer in the integrity and the innate intelligence of every child. Through intensive observation of young children, she developed a method of hands-on education which allows a child to facilitate his or her own learning under the guidance of a supportive, caring teacher. As children work with the materials which Dr. Montessori created, they develop into indepen

dent, self-motivated students with a love of learning and a desire to know and experience the world around them. Since 1964, our not-for-profit schools have been educating children ages 18 months through Kindergarten according to the Montessori Method. Each school is directed by a Montessori-trained Principal and is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. Certified and experienced teachers guide the children along with trained Montessori assistants. You’ll find our schools have fully equipped Montessori classrooms, enclosed outdoor play areas and key pad entry systems with cameras to ensure the safety and security of your children.

🎓End of Year Celebrations🎓

As we celebrate the end of the school year at our Montessori Children’s House, we reflect on a year filled with growth, discovery, and meaningful work.

Each child has developed independence, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. These celebrations mark not just the end of the year, but the continuation of each child’s learning journey. We are so proud of all that has been accomplished and grateful for the moments shared throughout the year.

💙 Teacher Appreciation Day 💙

On Tuesday, our Montessori Children’s House educators were celebrated with Teacher Appreciation shirts and a Cinco de Mayo taco lunch as a small way to say thank you. Across our Montessori communities, we took time to recognize the dedication, care, and commitment our teachers bring to their classrooms each day.

Moments like these reflect the appreciation and strong community that surround our Montessori educators. We are grateful for the meaningful work they do to support children’s growth, independence, and learning. Thank you to our Montessori teachers for everything you do.

Happy National Kids Fitness Day!

At Montessori Children’s House, movement is a natural part of learning. Children build strength, coordination, and confidence through purposeful work, outdoor activity, and hands‑on exploration.

By honoring a child’s need to move, we support not only physical health, but independence, focus, and overall, well‑being foundations for lifelong learning.

Global Love Day is a reminder that love is expressed through kindness, respect, and everyday moments of connection. In Montessori environments, children learn to care for one another through shared work, cooperation, and a strong sense of community.

At our Montessori Children’s House, love looks like children learning side by side, supporting peers, and feeling a sense of belonging within their classroom. These experiences help nurture empathy, understanding, and respect for others.

🎓 National Kindergarten Day 🎓

National Kindergarten Day is a moment to reflect on the preparation, independence, and confidence children build long before they enter a kindergarten classroom. At Montessori Children’s House, children develop readiness through purposeful work, concentration, and hands‑on learning experiences.

Montessori environments support academic foundations alongside problem solving, responsibility, and self direction. These skills help children approach kindergarten with confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of their own capabilities.

Today we are celebrating Family Friday as part of the Week of the Young Child. At our Montessori Children’s House, family includes the caring classroom community where children learn, grow, and support one another each day.

Through hands on learning and shared experiences, children build relationships rooted in respect, cooperation, and belonging. These connections create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued and confident.

Week of the Young Child

Today we are celebrating Artsy Thursday as part of the Week of the Young Child. At MCH, creative experiences support self-expression, concentration, and fine motor development through hands on learning.

In Montessori classrooms, art is process focused and child led. Children explore materials, make choices, and express ideas in meaningful ways. These experiences build confidence, creativity, and independence while supporting early childhood development.

We are proud to celebrate the Week of the Young Child by highlighting the importance of creativity in Montessori education.
